Just constructed with 2 large bedrooms both with spacious ensuites, separated by a welcoming kitchen/dining/living area with a generous verandah across the front of the house.

Here a fully self-contained one bedroom cottage in upland rainforest is surrounded by natural and established gardens, and at 1,160m provides a cool summer and cosy winter retreat. Uniquely the cottage integrates art within and outside. Contemplation, inspiration, privacy and comfort, are all to be experienced, along with exploring our forest and local environmental and historical features.

The cottage is on a ten acre property surrounded by nature in every direction. The cottage is spacious with unique features like an outdoor bath and a lovely rainforest driveway. Rare and endemic species of rainforest and fruit trees. Wildlife and birds live and visit the property . Tree kangaroos nearby. The Crater Lakes National Park and several towns are only a 10 min drive. Secluded and magical in it's nature , Wompoo is the place to stay and take in natures ever changing ambience.

Idriess Cottage

A self contained, one bedroom cottage with all amenities on the edge of Herberton on the Atherton Tablelands. The cottage has a verandah with bush views and BBQ. Part of a secure 1 hectare (2 acres) estate, the cottage is 200m from the main historic homestead. There is plenty to do here, including museums, bush walking and pack donkey treks, day trips to some real outback towns and other attractions, all only 1.5 hours' drive from Cairns International Airport. Breakfast supplies included.

The Cubby Luxury Nature Retre

From the modern luxurious interior, you can soak up nature at its finest. The platypus, other waterlife and birdlife are visible from the breakfast / cocktail bar as well as from the bathtub or outdoor shower. The biggest decision you will need to make is which vantage point to enjoy. The apartment is surrounded by beautiful gardens and has everything you should need for a very comfortable stay with dedicated under cover parking and access so you won't be getting wet if it is raining. Enjoy watching the butterflies and birds in the garden from the verandah. .

Kisler Cottage - Rural retreat with a view

We call our lovely cottage "Kisler Cottage". It is located on the edge of Malanda which has all amenities, shops, period hotel, RSL , cafes and restaurants. Malanda is a great base to explore the Atherton Tablelands. Kisler Cottage is fully self contained, well appointed with quality furniture, some made by master- craftsman Victor Kisler, hence the name. The views from the cottage front deck are spectacular. So are the sunsets.
