If you love the outdoors, this is the place for you! The cabin sits on 5 acres of land and has so much privacy. We are surrounded by so many outdoor activities to take advantage of! If you like camping, this is camping with a flare. Cozy and comfy cabin that makes you feel part of nature.
“We really needed to get out of town during COVID-19 and this place was perfect! We love the outdoors and being within close access to hiking, waterfalls, etc. This place is super central to many of those things! We loved the Carrick Creek Falls hike and love that the property is so quaint and dog friendly. You feel like you're in a mountain cabin, yet it is clean (no bugs!), has modern amenities and the perfect little retreat. I would note that the creek on the bottom of the driveway is below a road the property is off of, so maybe bring an extra long lead if your pup is the type that may run off while enjoying swim time for their safety. We did notice a few people fishing down there at one point, but really enjoyed the privacy and peacefulness of the property overall! We hope to be back with more time to explore more hiking spots & waterfalls!”
Subtle modern amenities, perfectly blended with a quiet woodsy charm. Spectacular views of Table Rock from the privacy of your covered back porch. This serene outpost guarantees vivid memories you won't soon forget. While exploring the park, only a short drive or walk away, is often the main draw, give yourself permission to just hibernate and take in nature's beauty. The great John Muir once noted, "into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul."
“We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay in this cottage. Very peaceful and surrounded by nastier, while at the same time having many modern comforts like washer, dryer, dishwasher, etc. The view from the porch and the dining room is beautiful, and we saw quite a few birds, including a flock of turkeys! Also pretty cool, as we drove on the driveway, we saw a piebald (I.e., almost white) deer! The location of the cabin is wonderful, immediately adjacent to Table Rock State Park. Beth has very thoughtfully provided a state parks hang tag for your car, so you can visit the park and the multiple other nearby parks as often as you like! At Table Rock State Park we hiked the Carrick Creek Trail, a trail of about 2 miles length, following the creek for quite a while, showing waterfalls and rapids. Beautiful! Also good to know: there is an Ingles grocery store in nearby Pickens (~15 minute drive), as well as a great coffee shop (Coyote Cafe), which also has wonderful smoothies! Clemson is only 45 minutes away, which may also be of interest. A great place to stay!”
Seven private acres just off Hwy 11. HIKE - private access trail, with a small waterfall, connects to a feeder trail for the Palmetto trail and Table Rock State Park. BIKE - popular biking routes; Hwy 11, Hwy 288 and Hwy 178 + Doodle & Swamp Rabbit Trail. GOLF - 1 course 5 minutes away several others nearby. WATERFALLS - many in the area including the highest in the east. MOUNTAIN LAKES - 2 of the best, Jocassee & Keowee. HIDDEN RETREAT - close to many outdoor adventures
“The Hidden retreat was such a wonderful respite for our family! We brought our 2 kids (6yr old boy, 12yr old girl) to come to Table Rock to hike. But the truly delightful discovery was this quaint little home tucked away with tons of land for the kids to run and play soccer, a fire pit for quiet nights, a grill for delicious cooking, and thoughtful touches such as children movies and games... it was what we needed when we needed it! We would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to visit the area. And Jay was very communicative - the perfect host!”
