Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Sylva

We had a lovely stay at The Rusty Nail. The cabin was clean, cozy and had everything we needed. We were fortunate enough to even have a early morning rain that sounded wonderful on the tin roof. It was a great weekend spot for my husband and I.

The lake house was even better than the pictures. The property grounds were beautiful and an easy walk down to the dock. Our kids had the best time swimming from the dock and kayaking in the cove. We brought our boat and I really appreciated the nice fendering on the dock. We would love to stay at Phillips house again in the future.

Beautiful setting and easy quick drive to downtown. The private little house is perfectly nestled in with little noise from anything other than nature. The house is spacious and plenty of room for 2 to 4 people. Nice front porch for sitting and enjoying the quiet and nature sounds.

Will be coming back to this space!! So beautiful, every detail and amenity was available and thought through. Felt right at home & was able to bring the pups! We forgot a water bowl & Lindsey had one ready for us when we got there with plenty of paw towels and doggie bags!! Also, expect a pretty steep driveway! We have a 4-WD and AWD vehicle and had little to no problems. Thank you to Lindsey for offering this amazing space !

After staying at a few airbnbs lately that have had photos that are “favorable” to what they are like in person, it was refreshing to get to Tina’s place and have the exterior, interior finishes and amenities, and views meet and exceed my expectations. Tina’s place had everything I needed for a comfortable quiet stay - a nice bed, super well stocked kitchen, and multiple spaces to enjoy the mountains. I left thinking about when I’d bring my wife and friends back. As set up for my stay, you could sleep a couple in the bedroom, there’s a couch in the living room, and two twin bunk beds in the loft.

I already miss The High House! From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place was something special. The porch quickly became my favorite spot—I could have spent all day soaking in those breathtaking views. We were lucky enough to visit during firefly season, and watching the fireflies put on their magical show was truly unforgettable. Our evenings around the campfire, making s’mores, were such a treat. My 9-year-old boys loved exploring the property, making new friends with the host’s sweet and welcoming children, and discovering tortoises, baby kittens, and playful sheep along the way. The beds were super comfortable, and the location was perfect for all our adventures—whitewater rafting, zip lining, gem mining, and chasing waterfalls. One of the highlights was ordering baked goods and a dinner from our wonderful host, Sharon. It was hands down the best meal we had during our trip! Our stay was pure magic, and I can’t recommend The High House enough! Thanks for the memories!

Lovely 2 bed, 2 bath spot in the country! Host was very nice and responsive to any questions! The home was stocked with everything you could need for a short visit. We were in the area to go to a wedding at Castle Ladyhawke which was very close by. It's a beautiful area and there were a lot of places nearby we wanted more time to see, but the wedding activities took up most of our time. My father in law loved the place we stayed and joked about trying to get the host to list it for sale so he could buy it for retirement. If we go back to the area, we would definitely book here again!

We loved our stay here! The studio was just as advertised and easy to find. The kitchen was clean and had everything we needed to do our own cooking for the week. They provided enough soap and such for us to get started and we only really had to bring more toilet paper. Otherwise everything was there that we needed. We loved the games that they had there for us to use and the snacks were perfect too. We will definitely be looking at staying here again.

We had a wonderful stay in Asheville, and we're very comfortable in this peaceful setting. Kelle and Max have created a beautiful space to stay. It's very clean, well equipped, and all directions and instructions clear and helpful. Kelle is a famous communicator, and quick to respond. Many thanks to them for providing a space that enhanced our travel experience! I will be recommending this place to friends!

We were in town for a wedding and traveling 7.5 hours to get there the stay was absolutely amazing! It rained while we were there on Friday but we enjoined sitting on the porch with blankets listening to the rain fall on the tin roof! We enjoyed watching the neighbors horses that would come to the fence to visit and we enjoyed watching the chickens beside the house ( don’t worry they are all quiet as well). We ended up being a party of three traveling with a 14 year old boy who never once said he was bored he spent his time on the swings outside and petting the horses! I highly recommend this place it is close to town, nice quiet location, easy driveway, no steps to climb and peaceful! The House is very clean, beds are comfy even the couch bed sleeps well per the 14 year old. The Host is very friendly and made sure we had absolutely everything that we needed! The home is stocked with all the things we needed and was the perfect size! Thank you for having us! Martha, Natalie, Nathan

Great place close to Bryson City, private, with kid-friendly amenities. Would recommend.

Beautiful place. Hosts are nearby but you have all the privacy you could want. Beds very comfortable and the hot tub was wonderful after hiking. Location is great for Pisgah forest and Dupont. Close to Bervard and also Hendersonville. We will definitely stay again.

Maggie and Mike are wonderful, responsive, and attentive hosts! They made us feel so welcomed and were very helpful with recommendations for hiking and sightseeing in the area. Meeting them was such an added bonus to a great stay. The apartment was just as described and met all of our expectations. The property is gorgeous and so very peaceful and the view is stunning. We are very glad we stayed here and would like to come again.

We loved staying at Lara’s. Because of rainy weekend, the mountains were especially lush and foggy creating almost magical misty atmosphere. We were able to build a fire every night. Kitchen was perfectly stocked with nice scratch free pots/pans. Lots of nature and little towns to explore nearby. Thank you Lara - we would love to come back!

We had a wonderful family time at Parker’s cabin. Has everything you may need to enjoy your time in the secluded woods of NC. Very private but with all the amenities you may need. Internet was good and the place very comfortable. It was quite rainy during our stay but we had no issues staying in and enjoying the hot tub from time to time. Would fully recommend this place to any one. Thank you Parker!

We searched for a cabin for a long time, and in the end got tired of all the options and just picked this one. From the moment we entered we know we had made a great choice and we ended up booking an extra night. The cabin is supercosy and well organized, the view is amazing. There is one cabin at like 60 meters away or something but when you look out on your deck you feel like you're all alone in the world and it's a wonderful feeling. I can 100% recommend staying here.

Buddy’s place is great. Perfect location for access to SMNP as well as Sylva and local sites. We were very comfortable there and the view is amazing every day. Coffee on the deck each morning was so peaceful and relaxing. Fire pit at night couldn’t have been better. Completely met our expectations and buddy was a great host. Thanks!

We had a wonderful trip! Enjoyed the fire pit and beautiful views from the deck. Our first time to the smoky mountains and we were very pleased with the location and ease of getting to the park. Especially enjoyed the quieter side of the park. Host was very responsive to our questions and things we needed help with. We would definitely stay at their properties again. We loved staying in this cabin. It felt super remote but was actually close to the small town of Bryson City, so it was easy to run by the grocery store or whatever. The cabin was so cozy and comfortable, with a lovely view out over the mountains. We enjoyed some of the board games, the hot tub, and eating breakfast on the deck. There were a couple things that had gotten overlooked like not enough towels and the hostess was quick to rectify the problem. Great communication and location!

My brother and I stayed here for a night in-between us doing a bunch of adventurous things in the smoky mountains. The place is gorgeous, and was super clean and stocked up when we arrived. there were so many thoughtful touches that we noticed upon checking-in, like a guidebook filled with all the local recommendations/how to use the amenities, towels and robes for the hot tub/sauna, and, my perfonal favorite, a smores kit for the campfire! Another thing to note is the stunning views this place has! Waking up in the lift gives you the most breathtaking view of the smoky mountains. As well as when you relax in the hot tub you can look out into nature and relax in the serenity and take in the view. Krista was an amazing host and was so friendly and proactive about check-in and check-out. We will definitely be staying here again if we are ever in the area! And if you love nature, stunning views, a clean, comfortable, and cozy place to stay, then look no further than Krista's A-frame!

Me and my husband searched for the perfect romantic getaway for our late honeymoon/ 1 year anniversary. When we came across Knotty But Nice we were sold! The view was immaculate, pictures do not do justice. The house was extremely clean and cozy. The hot tub was clean and so relaxing. Overall peaceful and private! The drive up was pretty scary the first time, I’m definitely glad that we had an SUV! But 10/10 recommend! We are already planning another trip in the fall. Thanks Dana & Trish! 😊
