Welcome to The Understory. Nestled deep in the rhododendron covered woods, this romantic hand-crafted tiny home offers you a peaceful and memorable stay just 15 minutes from both Asheville and Black Mountain. Inside consists of 350 square feet of comfortable living space including a rain shower, king sized bed, cozy wood stove and a full kitchen. Surrounding the cabin is another 500 square feet of living space with a deck, outdoor soaking bathtub, and patio with a fire pit and propane grill.

The RhodoDen

As its name suggests, The RhodoDen is a cozy 1974 Airstream Argosy nestled among the rhododendron of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Set along a trickling creek with a bonfire ring and a view of nearby Watch Knob, this is "glamping" at its finest. RhodoDen provides an idyllic place to relax, and is a great basecamp for hiking adventures, dining and nightlife in Asheville and Black Mountain, both of which are only 15 minutes away. Plus we are pet friendly! Update 3/24: We built a roof!

High atop a ridge, you can enjoy year-round views of the mountains from the porch. Hike up the ridge or cozy up by the wood stove with a book. Grill out, start a campfire or just relax in the hammock. Nightlife, food, coffee and breweries in Asheville and Black mountain are 15 minutes away. It's an hour to Great Smokey Mountains National Park!

Honey Bee Suite Hobby Farm

Come stay in our comfortable, cozy and quiet Guest Suite tucked away in the Bee Tree Valley of Swannanoa! We are just a scenic 15 minute drive into both Asheville and Black Mountain, North Carolina, and the perfect location to access hiking trails and Parkway exploring. The honey bees invite you to come taste their honey on some homemade bread - in our peaceful, sweet home in the woods! Cell service is spotty down our road, but we have great wifi here at Honey Bee Suite.
