Solhem

Welcome to this carefully renovated house from the 1890s with a modern kitchen and toilet/shower. On the plot there is also a converted barn with kitchen, hot and cold summer water and air heat pump. The shower is outside and a earth toilet in a separate building. There are 5 beds in each building. The houses are relatively individual with large yard and several patios. It is about 250 meters to the jetty and swimming area where there is also a wood-fired sauna that is included in the rental. The place is good for both the family and the group of friends.

A lush oasis in the middle of the village "Faster Annas stuga" is centrally located in Sund. Near bus stop and café/mini-market. Approx. 5 km to golf course and sights in Kastelholm. Hiking trails in Kastelholm and Bomarsund/Prästö. To the public beach 6 km, next to Bomarsund. In the newly renovated cottage, there is a fully equipped kitchen, with a small wood stove. Bathroom with shower and washing machine. One bedroom with two beds plus an extra bed. Living room with sofa bed for two. Terrace with outdoor furniture. Cleaning is not included.

Welcome to our cozy cottage. A place to relax in a quiet and scenic environment without being overlooked. The cottage has three bedrooms and a living room/kitchen, perfect for families or friends who want to spend quality time together. The plot is large with lawn and several patios perfect for dining or relaxation. On the beach, there is a wood-fired sauna and a private dock. Two-person kayak and SUP board are available to borrow for those who want to explore the lake from the water. The cottage is about 30 minutes from Mariehamn.

A cozy and peaceful home surrounded by history's wings and good restaurants. Walking distance to Kastelholm Castle, the open-air museum Jan Karlsgården and the popular restaurant Smakbyn and Åland Distillery. Close to there is also Marina Melina which is a well-maintained guest harbor with a familiar atmosphere. Åland golf club incl. restaurant is also found in the nooks. The surroundings and views from the plot are unique and beautiful with open views and views of, among other things, the castle.

Cottage with newly built wood-fired beach sauna

The cottage is by the water and you have a nice lake view with a west facing position. There is a separate terrace where you can enjoy the summer days. By the beach there is a floating jetty with swimming ladder. There is also a rowing boat that can be used freely by tenants. Own wood-fired beach sauna with terrace and sun loungers. The stay includes bed linen as well as towels. Dart board, croquet and cube games are available in the cabin. Sup boards are available for rent on site.

Townhouse apartment near golf course and sights

New townhouse apartment near Kastelholm golf course, selected for Finland's best in 2023. Close to restaurants and sights. Modern and comfortable accommodation with peaceful location and views of beautiful Slottsund with associated beach. The apartment is completed in June 2024. It consists of combined kitchen living room and two bedrooms. Terrace facing west overlooking Slottsund and the golf course. There is plenty of parking space at the apartment.

100 years old bakery

100 years old bakery without running water and electricity suitable for adventurous people. Kitchenette with gas-stove and fridge. Shower and sauna with own entrance in the main house, outhouse nearby the cottage. Enjoy a peaceful moment in an oldtime finnish cottage! Mattas i Finby

At our farmhouse Mattas in Finby, Sund, we can offer a rural and cozy accommodation with 4 beds (two single beds and a sofa bed). It is an apartment on the second floor from the 50s that we have carefully renovated to keep the old-fashioned feel. On the farm there are many different animals (cows, horses, chickens and sheep) and our farm dairy (Mattas Gårdsmejeri). During July, we open a café during the day (11am-5pm).

Åland, Sund charming house near Kastelholm/Bomarsund

The cottage (Fridhem), which was originally a bakery, was moved from a small village to the current location in the 1950s, when it was also rebuilt into the current house. The cottage is located on highway 2, in between Kastelholm and Bomarsund, about 5 km in each direction. Bus stop is close, 25 km to Mariehamn. There are bike paths nearby, beautiful forest roads as well. See my guide for tips.

Doris hus (charmigt 50-tals hus)

Bo mitt på Åland vid Färjsundet nära Ålands Golfklubb och Kastelholms slott. Huset har nyrenoverad dusch/bad och bastu, toalett och kök. Dessutom finns en nybyggd terrass med matbord och grill. Huset ligger vid vattnet och man delar badbrygga med värdarna. Det tar ca 15 min att köra in till Mariehamn och ca 5 minuter till Godby där det bl a finns matbutik.
