Waterfront holiday rentals in Sulawesi

What an amazing stay we had with my husband and our 3-year-old! Family friendly place with magnificent landscape and gorgeous sunset, probably the most beautiful ever seen in my life… The staff is really helpful. Local cook presents amazing local food. The owner and his family living on site adds a lot to this magical paradise. We will surely be back for more connection with nature and ourselves. Thank you!

We spent 1 week at John's place and really enjoyed ourselves because the view was amazing. There was also lots of eateries nearby. My favorite was SONDO | MISOA BAR where the beef meesuah was the best. We also took a walk to the nearby market Pasar Bahu and had nasi kuning there. John was helpful with information on Manado as well as flexible with the check in and check out time. We had to place a cash deposit with him which he graciously agreed allowed us to use our own local currency as we didn't want to return with too much Indonesian Rupiah at the end of our trip. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Great stay at Kuskus resort, Son and his family were amazing kind, available and accommodating with us. Meals cooked by his wife are clearly the best on the island! We only had the resort to ourselves, which made the exchange unique. Do not hesitate to ask them to book you activities they organize days with them in absolutely fabulous places! We come better for experiences out of the ordinary than for comfort, a real life at the Robinson Crusoe that invite total disconnection!

The location of the Apartment is very strategic in the center of makassar, the room is clean and complete, the check-in process is very easy, the property team is very helpful & the owner is quick to respond

Wonderfully quiet place (we hadn't experienced it on Sulawesi yet) in nature, with the good care and delicious food from Annelies and her team. Cottages are sufficiently large with beautiful views over the Poso swimming lake, accessible by boat or through the rice field. Walking through rice paddies to Peura and bike ride to Tentena are fun outings. Annelies has also arranged transportation for us, from Toraja and to Ampana.

I arrived early in the morning when I took the night bus, but it was very helpful because they accommodated early check-in and the bus stopped in front of the villa.Upon arrival, the barista owner helped me with a coffee brewed and helped me assemble my itinerary in Toraja, so I was able to go around smoothly. At night, they prepared a cold beer in the kinkin, so I enjoyed drinking and singing karaoke every night. There was a wood-burning sauna, and I was allowed to use it, but it was still unfamiliar with the smoke and the temperature did not increase, but I think I will understand the tricks after several attempts. To be honest, the accommodation had no hot water, there was no sink, and there was no mirror in the washroom, so it was difficult to shave, or the water splashed the toothpaste, so it was difficult to use.But in the future, the owner said he would fix it, so I want to expect it. In addition, if you are interested in the culture of Toraja, the owner has a strong sense of love, and has a wealth of knowledge about the culture of Toraja and knows the dates of the unique funeral ceremony in this region, so I would like you to enjoy your trip to Toraja from here.
