As former residents of Idyllwild, we were so impressed with this little cabin! It is perfectly located- you’re close enough to town that you can walk, but far away enough for privacy and quiet. We were here during the spring and loved having the option to make a fire in the evening when it got chilly. The house itself is very minimalist, but tasteful. The only thing we wish we had was a washer/dryer because we stayed for a week and would’ve loved the option to clean our clothes during our stay. But overall, definitely recommend this location to anyone visiting the town.

David’s place is even better than the photos. Charming, FULLY stocked with kitchen supplies, roomy and well cared for. We enjoyed using the fireplace and cooking in the kitchen, which has anything you could need, including spices.

An unforgettable desert experience. The house exceeded all my expectations — beautifully equipped, with a perfect pool to relax, an amazing hot tub, and even an outdoor shower that felt like a luxury in the middle of Joshua Tree’s stunning landscape. James, the host, was outstanding: very attentive, kind, and always available if we needed anything. You can truly feel the care and love he puts into the place. I’ll definitely be back. If you’re looking for an unforgettable stay in the desert, this is the place.

Great weekend trip to Idyllwild, with house located in a beautiful spot on Strawberry Creek. Nice open space living and dining area looking out to the creek and big outdoor deck to enjoy the weather and watch the birds and squirrels. Easy walk on the trail to Idyllwild Brewpub and the rest of the town.

From the moment we first walked in, we were immediately struck by how beautiful and inviting the place was. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, just like the photos had promised. The decor was thoughtfully done, creating a comfortable yet elegant vibe that made us feel right at home. But the real showstopper? The views. Absolutely breathtaking! Whether you’re sipping coffee in the morning or watching the sunset in the evening, the scenery is nothing short of amazing. The hosts were truly outstanding—some of the best we’ve ever encountered when it comes to communication. They were responsive, helpful, and easy to reach throughout our stay. However, there are a few things that could use some attention. The bathroom handles near the bedrooms were broken, which was a bit inconvenient—though we managed. I absolutely loved my stay here and don’t think the photos did it justice! The surrounding views were great to wake up to and it felt like we had so much privacy. Everything was clean inside, the bed was comfy, and the vibe was very homey. The house was very cold when we arrived, but the loft area heated up quickly! We didn’t utilize the wood burner stove, but would definitely recommend for colder weather. We also used the hot tub which worked perfectly fine. What a wonderful stay! The attention to detail was on point. You can tell they took a lot of pride in the product they are proving people. Very friendly hosts and very responsive. I’d stay here again in a heart beat. The movie room exceeded our expectations. Value was very worth the money.

It was a lovely place to stay. Very quiet neighborhood. The pool was amazing and the backyard felt almost tropical. Lovely older trees and many areas to sit in the garden to relax. The Kitchen was updated and we made many meals there, especially lunch and breakfasts. A great place to stay if you want privacy and quiet. We loved it!

We had an amazing stay at Horizon House! It was spacious and beautiful. My husband and I enjoyed our getaway and our kids were very entertained in the pool, observing and walking the terrain, and at attractions that are close by. Sunnie is the perfect host—she was very responsive, helped us with recs while we were there, obviously has a keen eye for design, was kind, and even stocked the coffee/tea pantry with our likes in mind. We would love to stay again or try another home in the mirohaus collection. Thank you!

I stayed for the weekend for a little getaway, and it was an incredible experience. The house is absolutely beautiful with a modern design and so many picture-perfect spots throughout the property. I especially loved the master bedroom with the tub—it felt like a dream. The jacuzzi was perfect for stargazing at night, and the pool was so refreshing to swim in during the day. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and the hosts were quick to respond to any questions I had. Overall, a wonderful stay—I would definitely come back!

One of the most beautiful Airbnb’s we’ve stayed at! Everything was as described, and the attention to detail in the home decor and the landscaping/surroundings was impeccable. It was so peaceful and private. We loved hanging by the pool and watching the wildlife, exploring the town, and hiking nearby. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer!

This cottage is located privately in the canyons of Joshua Tree. You have to take a dirt road to get in that takes 10 minutes give or take and my Honda Accord was able to access. The ranch is so quiet and beautiful. Truly you will feel disconnected from the hustle and bustle of life and will feel refreshed here. Best part is there is a creek on the property! You have to hike to the back of the cottage. Diane was super responsive and accommodating! Terrific and beautiful place.

Our family loved staying in the little A Frame! Lots of homey touches & natural decor that was practical and yet beautiful. The town is walkable from the home. Very peaceful location! Host is very responsive. (People with mobility issues would have a hard time with the stairs).

Staying at John and Lara’s cabin in Idyllwild felt like stepping into a movie—cinematic, well-curated touches, dreamy natural lighting, and deeply peaceful energy. Tucked away in the trees with minimal neighboring homes in sight, it offered privacy and stunning forest views and distant mountain ridges from nearly every window. Plenty of squirrel and bird friends to watch! The kitchen has a cozy, homey farmhouse feeling, while the living room has a pioneer charm with all the modern comforts. It felt like a true escape—quiet, serene, and full of soul, and yet walking distance to Idyllwild’s town center. We slept like babies and didn’t want to leave. I honestly wish I could buy this place. Would absolutely love to return one day.

I will absolutely recommend this place and the host to anyone who’s looking for a private and cozy spot. We fully enjoyed it and had the most relaxing experience.

This is our 3rd or 4th time here- we just love this Airbnb, truly our favorite! Our doodles have such a big enclosed yard to play- with trees and lots of wildlife all around us. And the prefect view of the Tahquitz rock too! I don’t even look for other Airbnbs anymore in Idyllwild- I just message Ariya and book☺️. The home is always clean with everything we need for cooking and relaxing. I always appreciate the assorted teas from their store as well. This time, we made sure we took advantage of the hot tub after a hike and a run. The bathrobes are always appreciated and even helpful when it got a little chilly at night. Ernie Maxwell trail is just over a mile from the house and my big dog and I hiked/ran there twice- such a beautiful place to take your dog(s). Ariya and Marc are such perfect hosts- always communicating and ensuring we are enjoying our stay. I also appreciated it when Ariya messaged me that I could check in early. Thanks again Ariya! Spending time at Mario’s place was rejuvenating, relaxing, and special. For anyone who’s wanting a place to get away from the grind of every day Life I highly recommend this place. We brought our little Yorky with us and she thoroughly enjoyed teasing the squirrels and watching the birds and so did we no we didn’t chase the squirrels lol but we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this place. This is our second visit and will definitely be coming back for more.

Such a cute place to stay and very close to the city center! We did have a few bug problems so we didn’t cook much in the kitchen. Other than that it was a great stay! Would recommend bringing paper towels if you plan to cook!

This is our second time staying at Lauren's cabin. This place is not your typical rental, it's homey, it's special. From the decor, the comfy furniture, the setting, the deck, the well-stocked kitchen, Cedar Rock has it all. We love how close it is to town for exploring the shops or a meal out. Our pup especially appreciated the fenced in backyard. The cabin is super clean and Lauren is very responsive. Until next time...
