Holiday rentals with a kayak in Steuben County

Fantastic place! I loved the outdoor amenities. It is a nice quiet neighborhood. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location and home. We enjoyed the direct access to water, the fire pit, and walkable to a nearby state park for a scenic nature walk. Home had a great number of rooms, beds and bathrooms. There was a large dining table for 8 people with large bay window looking out on the water.

We were incredibly happy with our stay. The home was very clean, filled with thoughtful and appreciated things. Blankets in the living area, tissues, extra chairs and seating in the closets which we used. They had towels we could use for swimming. Lots of games for both inside and out. We used the kayaks and the dock to park the pontoon we rented. We used and loved the fire pit. Plenty of outdoor seating. I could go on for days about how wonderful the kitchen was. It had plenty of glasses and plates and silverware for our full house. It had serving bowls and plenty of serving spoons. We used the cast iron skillet and the air fryer. There was a blender and hand mixer and crockpot also. Plenty of hot pads they even have Tupperware type containers for leftovers. We cooked every meal and found nothing lacking. There were even common spices and cooking oil along with ketchup mustard and relish waiting for us. Very glad to stay and hope to come back again.

Ash’s place was great! She was helpful and responsive when we needed assistance. Willing to go out of her way for us during our stay. Would recommend.

This was the best little halfway point for my family to stop on our move across the country. So cute and quiet and the kids really loved the lake. Pauline even took special care to make sure our family dog had a spot for the stay. 10/10 would recommend. 😊

Wow! This house really hit us the jack pot for our stay! What an amazing experience we had. The hosts were wonderful and very easy to communicate with. Smooth experience and no headache. My friends were all beyond satisfied with the house and the way it was hidden behind the woods for privacy. Not only that but a walking distance to the lake! The boat experience was also awesome and very smooth! Loved every single second of it! I Would love to rent this house again! Will definitely come back again!

Rented this newer lake house directly on water (no road between) w/ my sisters+spouses for a perfect week in August. Loved the ample space to gather, cook, eat, chat, play cards indoors or out! Bedrooms upstairs, kitchen/family room below. Comfortable beds for all and ample seating indoors and out for conversation or lounging. Mostly enjoyed dining outdoors at the dining table and chairs on patio but eat in kitchen with dining table a plus when needed. Great views from common areas downstairs and front bedrooms of quiet end of the lake with wooded views across lake rather than homes. Family enjoyed paddle boards, kayaks, and floats (a few of each) provided with home. The dock provides direct lake access for water sports but is also tucked behind and just at end of a small reeded area where we watched a swan family enjoying their vacation on the lake too! Chad was nearby and very responsive to all questions and needs. Perfect week on the lake!

It was everything we needed for a weekend getaway! The sunrises and sunsets were so beautiful and peaceful. We would absolutely return again anytime we need a getaway to relax. Thank you Christine!!!

We booked last minute due to other plans falling through due to floods in Kentucky. Jo was amazing and got us booked quickly. The cottage was comfortable. The lake was beautiful and peaceful. We will be returning when it's warm. We had an enjoyable trip exploring Shipshewana. We read in the sunroom and loved relaxing with a beautiful view. Thank you Jo for hosting us!

Great little place near the lake! Very clean and I loved the modern decor; there is a lot of attention to detail. Great kitchen and we appreciated the Keurig coffee and complimentary bottle of wine. Beds were comfortable, linens were fresh!

Lovely cottage on a beautiful lake. Spotless and well appointed with indoor and outdoor furnishings. It's cozy, but the porch and outdoor space give you lots of extra room. Great wifi. Three ceiling fans. Overall, perfect for our low-key vacation goals of listening to audiobooks, chilling on the water, and lounging in AC.

The home itself is absolutely stunning—everything is brand new, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and the hot tub was such a treat. From the thoughtful design to the cozy atmosphere, every detail made our stay feel effortless and peaceful. We are already dreaming of returning in the summer to soak in the lake vibes and energy of Nettle Lake. We are beyond grateful for this experience and for the kindness and generosity of our hosts. This was exactly the place I had hoped it would be. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. We didn't use any of the water toys due to it being cold, but the view was enough to have a great time. The place actually exceeded my expectations. It looks even better in person than in the pictures. I appreciated the book with recommendations for places to eat as well as things to do. It was a nice touch.

I had a perfect stay at Sharon’s cottage. It had everything I needed for a comfy, cozy weekend. The cottage was clean and charming and well stocked. Couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful and relaxing spot!

Lisa was very responsive, friendly and accommodating, the place was cozy and had a great view. Just wish the fishing was better!

This cabin was great for our group. It was the perfect place for a week on the lake. We really appreciated how it had everything we needed from toys to kayaks and paddles, to fishing supplies. We brought a lot of our own stuff, but we didn’t need it at all. The boat rental was absolutely perfect as well. To have the boat ready for us when we arrived was so convenient and we enjoyed the boat all week! This house was super pet friendly, with all the details thought about. Baby gates to close off the upstairs and down stairs and plenty of dog bowls to use. This host was super responsive with any questions we had leading up to our stay and throughout the visit. Hopefully we will be back again!
