Holiday rentals with a fire pit in St. Andrews

Loved this stay. The cabin looks exactly like the photos and is even more spacious and cozy than the pics. Spotlessly clean. Close to the lake. Christine has great communication - she responded to any questions promptly. Would definitely stay again.

A beautiful location that is quite close to Winnipeg, comfortable inside, and has one of the best-stocked kitchens we have yet to come across at an AirBnB. We appreciated all the thoughtful additions (extra toiletries, snacks in the kitchen, a few cold beers in the fridge) and the immediate sense of being somewhere we could unwind. While the weather was wet, windy, and cold during our visit, we still had a great time and enjoyed the warmth of the cabin during the May Long Weekend.

My family spent a long weekend at Howard's cottage and had a delightful experience. The space was simultaneously roomy and cozy. We loved the fenced in porch and were able to cook several meals using the fully equipped kitchen, as well as the outdoor grill. Tons of board games, too!

Highly recommended it. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, food, wrap, cooking pots, and anything you would need to make the stay great. The beds were super comfortable. There were lots of linens and they were nice and fresh. The host was very helpful when the front door lock didn’t work. The location is amazing, right on the river.

We had a great stay! The property was peaceful, homey , and had everything we needed (if not more) Even though it rained the whole weekend, we still really enjoyed ourselves and appreciated the calm, relaxing atmosphere. It was the perfect little escape, and the host made everything super easy and accessible. They even have a binder that would answer every faq’s! Would definitely stay again!

This is a beautiful place to stay and has a beautiful lake view! It’s so cozy and feels like home! Has everything you need and the owner was extremely nice and very flexible with me since I had to change my dates and number of people staying a few times!! Definitely recommend!!

Crystal’s home exceeded expectations! Will absolutely stay again when visiting the area to ice fish Lake Winnipeg. My group had 4 adult men and we were well accommodated and comfortable. The enclosed sunroom held all our gear and equipment, the driveway had plenty of space for trucks, trailers, sleds and wheelers, and the location was perfect for accessing the lake either by way of the beach across the main road or at Warner launch. I’ve stayed at multiple places in Matlock and would choose Crystal’s home over all others. Clean and spacious, updated appliances, large bathrooms, and plenty of dining area. It’s exactly the place you want to be after long days on the ice. Would stay again 10 out of 10 times.

A nice place to stay. Convenient location and easy to walk to interesting places ... The Forks, shops and restaurants on Osborne. (Sad that I didn't have the chance to check out Buvette, the restaurant right downstairs.) The apartment was clean and was perfect for our stay. Lisa was very responsive to our questions. Enjoyed it very much.

This was our third AirBNB in this area and we agreed it was our favourite. Very well laid out for 2 couples. Great kitchen and dining space for cooking meals together. Beautiful bathroom. The hot tub and fuse ball table were lovely perks! So was the gas fireplace. We could keep the space at a comfortable temperatures Although there was not a lakeside view from inside, a quick 30 second walk around the house got us there. Beds were comfortable - one room had a softer mattress than the other which accommodated different preferences. Instructions were very clear with lots of local recommendations. We would come back!

Great place to stay with 3 bedrooms and perfect for 4 guys ice fishing. The 1.5 bathroom was great for getting ready or morning calls. Lots of room for fishing gear and winter clothes. The kitchen was great for making all our meals along with a big fridge.

Had a great stay. House works perfect for our group. Easy check in/check out. Great communication.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin! The lake/beach was beautiful! So peaceful and relaxing. It was a bit smaller than we expected but we managed fine! A few things needed fixing and could have been cleaner but overall we had a great time and spent quality time with our family. The hubby and sons were out catching fish right in front of the cabin! Fun places to tour close by as well.

Shady Pines was *exactly* the classic west-side Lake Winnipeg cottage we were looking for. It was squeaky clean, very comfortable, fitted-out with modern features, and decorated in exactly the right way. This is what a Lake Winnipeg cottage should look and feel like. We also were very grateful for the pet-friendly policy. We highly recommend Shady Pines to anyone looking for that experience, and we absolutely look forward to enjoying Danny’s hospitality again. We loved it!
