Cabin holiday rentals in Sri Lanka

The place was very nice and the hosts very accommodating& nice. Pubudu was very easily accessible & spontaneously organized us a tuk tuk driver for picking up from the train station , with which we also explored the area! We would also recommend this - Mr. Gamage was incredibly nice, showed us a lot and explained& brought us back to the train station the next day. Would we recommend to anyone who, like us , only spends one night there to take advantage of the offer. The trip with Mr. Gamage was an absolute highlight for us!

Dana was an amazing host! Very nice & helpful! He had the place and the hot tub nice and warm ready for us to use upon arrival. Definitely would recommend

What an amazing place. It’s a rustic and well-designed A frame hut. Cozy, warm (with the log-burner) and *what a view* especially from the hot tub. Yes, it’s isolated, and the last bit of the journey is a walk up a steep hill, but it’s worth it. And Dana and his team will help with your luggage. And anything else you need. It is high and you may find yourself in or above the clouds. The air is a bit thinner, and outside the room humidity is high so things might feel damp. But that’s nature ;) Big thanks to Praba too, for cooking us bespoke dinner and breakfasts, and delivering beer to the door as well. And for the tasting tour of her kitchen garden. Overall, a fantastic place to unwind, enjoy the scenery and escape city life.

Our stay with Duminda was absolutely perfect. We were the first guests in the second new cabana, which was completely brand new and spotlessly clean. Duminda was a welcoming host who assisted us with all our questions and suggested great activities in the area. The breakfast was also excellent. We highly recommend staying here!

Staying in this amazing treehouse was a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Completely open to the surrounding nature, we could hear the sounds of the wildlife throughout the night — from birds to insects to mammals — and it was fascinating to notice how the sounds changed as the night went on. It really felt like being cut off from the outside world, in the best possible way. The host was very welcoming and gave us great recommendations for local activities and places to eat. A magical stay in the heart of nature!

Staying at Monsoon Eco Lodge was a great experience for the tranquility, beautiful garden, very nice accommodation and the great food we had for breakfast and sometimes for diner. Wishy will do her outmost to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We’ll also greatly miss the beautiful view in the rice fields ! Thanks for everything !

Great place to be honestly not that far from the beach which is quite lively. Caretaker and the owner both are quite responsive and understanding. Kitchen is completely available for a nominal fees which is good plus point.

Very nice family and great room

We booked with Malika because we wanted an authentic home stay experience in a quiet, rural setting and we found exactly this and more! From the moment we were handed a delicious, ice-cold, homemade lemonade on arrival, Malika made us feel like part of her family. Our 3 days with her were some of the best of our trip. The cabana is beautiful and rustic but still very comfortable with good facilities. There's no AC but we slept really well under the mosquito net and fan. The location is great - 3 mins walk to the beach (it's not safe to swim there) and in a quiet corner of Panama village. We spent our days walking on the beach and exploring the friendly village. Our evenings were spent chatting with Malika in her kitchen as she prepared the most delicious rice and curry dinners. Malika also arranged a safari for us to Kumana national park. We invited her and her family to join us and it was a very special day out Thank you for everything Malika! We had the best time & we'll miss u

Staying at Maheera’s Airbnb in Ahangama was an unforgettable experience. Tucked away in a quiet village, the home is surrounded by nature — peaceful, with only the sound of birds chirping, and even the occasional peacock sighting — yet just a few minutes from the beach. What truly made our stay special was Maheera and his wonderful family. Their warmth and hospitality were unmatched. Maheera checked in on us every day and helped with everything we needed, making sure we were always comfortable. His mum and dad greeted us with big smiles and waves every time we left or returned, which made us feel like part of their family. It wasn’t just a place to stay — it felt like home. Highly recommended for anyone seeking peace, nature, and heartfelt hospitality

Wow, this place is incredible. The hospitality of the hosts is second to none, with delicious breakfasts of traditional food and fresh fruit delivered every morning. The bungalow is quite spacious, very tropical and located only 5 minute walk from the stunning Goyambokka Beach. There is also a scooter that can be rented for a mere 2,500 Ruppees a day, meaning that it is easy to explore the area on your terms. You cannot find anything close to this quality for such a low price. We cannot recommend highly enough

We had a lovely stay at Capybara’s cabin. The food at Capybara was delicious!!

We had a great stay. In the afternoon, the waves were too high, which is why we were able to dodge the pool and still tanked the sun. At night it is twice as warm in the cottage, but the air conditioning was a big help with this. Even when the monkeys took the generators out of action, they were looking for a solution right away and we had electricity again within a pass minutes. Thank you for the pleasant stay!

Great location on top of a hill. In the middle between 2 main beaches. Great location a bit more quiet than in the main road. Host was very friendly

Outstanding experience: Anton welcomed us with freshly squeezed watermelon juice, our big suite was perfectly clean and very nicely decorated with his unique photos. The beds were super comfortable, the A/C was doing a good job to cool us down and the shower was working fine also. Anton even accompanied us to the poperty’s lake and helped me to spot some of Sri Lanka’s colorful birds. But the best was yet to come: The next day, Anton guided us on a private tour to Wilpattu NP that I will always remember. Thanks to his patience and passion for wildlife we saw a sloth bear, two leopards, one of them drinking from the lake for quite a long time, lots of colorful birds, monkeys and much more. Besides he provided the safari jeep with a very good driver and prepared delicious home cooked meals for very reasonable prices. We will never forget this wonderful experience and can only highly recommend him and his place!
