The space
This unique compact loft was the second floor of a 1920 Tudor carriage house. It has a charming peacock motif in all three living areas, its full kitchen with washer/dryer and its bathroom with an original cast-iron tub to hold in heat for a luxurious bath or fast shower. The bedroom has a queen bed, large dresser, chair, stool, and closet. The living room has a 50 inch TV, wifi printer, books, blankets, and couch that folds out into a bed. The dining area connects the living space and the kitchen. An antique table with fun curiosities is great for eating and for working on a laptop. The full kitchen has ample counter space, countertop appliances and a coffee bar as well as a full size refrigerator, microwave, stove top and oven. An iron fence surrounds the property with a walk-in gate and ample street parking on Crawford Street, an esplanade avenue with historic manors and modern townhomes. The loft has its own private entrance and porch with a shared yard and picnic deck. The loft is in the Museum District with 19 first-class museums in 4 walkable zones, including Hermann Park with its zoo, golf course, and picnic trails. Experiences range from the dinosaurs, butterflies, and stars of the Houston Museum of Natural Science, to the famous art galleries of the Museum of Fine Arts Houston or the interactive fun of the Houston Children's Museum. Houston's light rail station is 6 blocks away and connects to downtown, the Medical Center, and local universities. Driving to Downtown Houston, including the GRB Convention Center, takes less than 10 minutes. Houston is known for its quality and variety of restaurants, many a short drive away.
