The property, dating back to the 1500s, has a separate entrance and is located in the heart of Civita, the oldest and most evocative part of the Sassi, a stone's throw from the city's main artistic, cultural and historical attractions. The area overlooks the Sassi from above with breathtaking views of the ancient districts. Inside, with high tuff vaults and period furnishings, there are two double bedrooms, a living area, a kitchen and a bathroom. The area is very lively and full of clubs, bars and restaurants.

Located in the Sasso Barisano, the San Biagio Suite is completely carved out of the tuff rock and offers the unique and magical experience of sleeping in the Sassi of Matera. The partition walls are made of frosted glass, but with a touch you can make them transparent so you can appreciate the environment in its evocative entirety. In the Sasso, you can admire the fossil shells that emerge from the tuff, take a shower inside the cave and touch the walls that emerged from the sea a million years ago.

The small cave house has a separate entrance. It is a small underground room completely carved out of the tuff rock. The caves have their own particular microclimate that is regulated by heating in winter and dehumidification when necessary. In the outdoor space, furnished with a small table and chairs, you can meet and make friends with my kitten and my dog, a very sweet Border Collie. Staying in a cave is an experience.
