Holiday rentals with a pool in Southern Africa

This is by far the best accommodation we’ve ever stayed in. Great location and excellent facilities. You can enjoy an amazing view of the ocean and stars at night from the large balcony. A big bonus was seeing a pod of dolphins right below the balcony. In fact, the accommodation turned out to be the highlight of our entire trip from Japan.

Loved every moment in this beautiful home. Stunning surroundings and just what our family needed to recharge and touch base with each other. Life is hectic for us but the moment we arrived it felt like home. Highly recommend this listing. Thank you Sarah xxx

This stay was truly unforgettable. The architecture of the house is incredibly unique - modern, yet warm and welcoming, with thoughtful design details that blend beautifully into the natural surroundings. The layout makes the most of the stunning views, with large windows that frame the landscape like artwork. The home was immaculately clean and fully stocked with all listed amenities (and more -board games etc.). The outdoor shower was a standout feature as well. But the real showstopper? The view. It was absolutely breathtaking - morning, noon, and night. Honestly, the price doesn’t reflect the value of this experience; it felt luxurious yet grounded. Definitely will be back soon.

One of the best places I’ve ever stayed! The home is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing getaway. The stunning ocean view and peaceful surroundings made it feel like a true escape. The location in George is perfect, quiet, yet close to everything you need. The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring every detail was just right. I can’t recommend this place enough, a true gem that I would return to in a heartbeat!

Beautiful place in a quiet neighborhood. James was super nice. We were headed to the market for food and he offered to drop us off. On the way he showed us the neighborhood and gave us many local restaurant recommendations. He checked on us during our stay to make sure all was well. We went in the fall/winter time and wasn’t aware that most home don’t have central heating so at times the place is cold. James has solutions that help so we managed. Overall the place is beautiful and was a great place to stay during our trip to Johannesburg.

A group of friends spent a long weekend at the Whale Huys which exceeded expectations. The setting on the mountainside directly above the sea is spectacular and each bedroom has a sea view. The owners have catered for every need. Even though it was winter we had very warm weather and were able to enjoy the heated pool and the hot tub. One could spend all day taking in the panoramic view over the sea and watching the whales in the bay. We received a warm welcome from Rene on arrival and felt at home right away. We hope to be back soon!

A huge thank you to Peter and Chery! From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at home. The apartment is beautiful and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The highlight for me was the stunning view from the balcony — both in the morning and at sunset, it was absolutely breathtaking. The place is spotless, fully equipped, and thoughtfully maintained. Nothing was missing in the kitchen or bathroom. I truly enjoyed every moment, and if I come back, I’d love to stay here again without a doubt!

From the moment I booked, Lisa was incredibly attentive—she checked in with me during my travels and was there waiting (in the rain!) when I arrived. The heater was already on, and the extra warm blanket was such a thoughtful touch, especially with the cold and pouring weather. What really stood out was the attention to detail—daily cleaning, fresh towels, and the constant topping up of coffee, tea, and sugar made the stay feel effortless. Lisa even went out of her way to make dinner reservations for me at Addo Wildlife, which was such a lovely experience. On day two, I was sitting outside enjoying the peaceful view of the Sundays River when we ended up chatting about wine and life—it felt like catching up with an old friend. Even her friendly dog and cat popped by for a visit, adding an extra homey touch. Truly a heartwarming stay—Lisa has created a space that feels like home, and I can’t recommend it enough. I’ll definitely be back!

Sheena was a great host. I’ve been to a few air BnB but never received such service. Sheena provided us with not just an accommodation but peace of mind too. We really enjoyed our stay and we will surely recommend the place and should we come back to Durban we booking the place again.

I stayed at Shashi’s listing with my older aged parents. They loved both the apartment and building amenities and frequented in the lower level restaurant. I felt safe and Shashi was quick to attend to my needs as they arose.

Great location next to the CTICC , two minute to the show halls. The apartment is warm and comfortable. Great stay , will book again next year.

We had a beautiful stay at Niks place

The apartment looked just like the photos and instantly felt like home. It was a charming, peaceful space with beautiful sunrise/sunset views. Everything was clean and well-organized. What stood out most was the thoughtful attention to detail that made for a truly comfortable stay. Tanya, the host, was incredibly helpful and always available when needed.

We had a wonderful stay here. The house itself was spacious (even more so than the photos), clean and beautifully presented. The beds were comfy and with lovely linen, there was a well equipped kitchen, we loved the outside fire pit area and we really enjoyed the views. The location was great, just a few minutes' walk from the beach and restaurants, but just far enough away to be quiet and private. We would definitely recommend this Air BnB and hope to stay again.

The property is out of a dream, gorgeous views, watching sunrises from the pool area while having breakfast was the highlight of our stay, one of the best homes we’ve stayed in, it’s alittle far from town but they’re still quite alot you can do around the area, Debbie our host was such an Angel, always eager to assist when we needed anything although the house gets quite chilly in the evenings but there’s a fire place and heater to keep you warm, plus heated blankets. Overall had an amazing time

We had a great stay at Dale’s place at Hout Bay for 2 nights. The pressure for the shower was good, and the bed was comfortable with bed warmer. We made ourselves at home with the smart tv and the kitchenette.

If you’re reading this review, it means you’re considering this rental. If this beach-front property is available, don’t waste any more time and simply rent it! My wife and I have rented AirBnB properties around the world and this rental was spectacular. One of the best places, if not the best place, we’ve ever rented. Mary-Louise is a very responsive host, her place is spotless clean, large with 2 bedrooms and has a multi-million dollar view. Only steps away from the ocean, falling asleep to the ocean was so relaxing and the only thing we wish was to have been able to stay longer than just 3 nights. My work colleagues was raised in Cape Town and recommended Camps Bay over the V&A area and we were so happy we listened to him and stayed on Glen Beach. Thanks so much Mary-Louise for an amazing stay!!!!! Should we ever return to Cape Town, we will definitely be a repeat guest.

One thing is for sure—if you’re visiting the Winelands and staying here, don’t overfill your itinerary. Any amazing and very modern space. Very few AirBnB look just like the photos and this place surpassed theirs. The privacy of the bedrooms with such an open concept was great and the outdoor garden terrace and rooftop was perfect. Definitely will stay here again.

We loved our stay here while we were visiting Cape Town. It has an amazing view of the ocean and a wonderful outdoor space to enjoy it. The house was extremely clean and well-stocked for our stay, and Naomi was very kind and attentive. There is plenty of space for anywhere from a couple to a large family to stay. We will definitely book this Airbnb again on our next trip to Cape Town!
