Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Sotavento Islands

A comunicação com o Gerson foi sempre muito rapida e facil. quando chegamos o T2 que alugamos não estava pronto, pelo que tivemos de passar a primeira noite num t1 e dividir cama. como eramos duas amigas não houve inconveniente, mas teria sido chato se fossemos dois amigos do seco oposto. só tivemos conhecimento desta impossibilidade quando chegamos e no dia seguinte mudamos para o T2 (dando também mais trabalho com malas e organização). o T2 nao tem agua quente.. nao tinha reparado nisto até chegar mas talvez tenha sido eu que nao vi a informação. a intermet não funciona no T2, o que foi bastamte chato já que tinha de trabalhar.... de resto, tudo ok.

A casa é exatamente como nas fotografias, uma construção de madeira em que nada foi deixado ao acaso e que está repleta de pequenos detalhes e pormenores reveladores do amor e carinho com que foi construída e apreciada. Como qualquer casa de madeira, já vai mostrando pequenos pontos a precisar de manutenção, mas nada de grave. A vista da casa no alpendre exterior é deslumbrante e foi precisamente o que mais adorámos. Ficar no exterior à noite, a observar a imensidão do céu estrelado e em silêncio, apenas com o som do mar, foi igualmente agradável. Casa perfeita para nos acolher com a nossa família. Partimos com muita vontade de regressar por mais dias. Pequenos eletrodomésticos em falta podem melhorar a experiência (chaleira ou cafeteira). No terreno contíguo da casa está a ser construída uma nova habitação, o que retira privacidade ao alpendre. Os trabalhadores são respeitosos e não começam a fazer barulho muito cedo.

This is where you want to be! Pool large enough for short laps. The house is huge! Lucas' relatives are across the driveway and very helpful with issues. Expect some family activity, but other times completely quiet, and we had the pool to ourselves whenever we used it. Rental car needed.

Hanspeter war ein zuvorkommender Gastgeber und wir sind dankbar für seine tatkräftige organisatorische Unterstützung bereits im Vorfeld unserer Reise. Die Bungalows sind sehr hübsch eingerichtet und äusserst sauber. Sie befinden sich am Ortsrand, zum Strand sind es nur wenige Gehminuten und Abends herrscht etwas mehr Ruhe, als in der Dorfmitte. Wer Erholung und Ruhe gepaart mit warmen Klima sucht, wird von Maio und Hanspeter nicht enttäuscht sein!

We enjoyed the quiet stay at Dinohelders place in the hills of Santiago. The house has a very tasty interior design and we felt at home from the beginning. The garden is beautiful with all the plants and the pergola is beautiful. People living around the area are super helpful and friendly. You'll see all kinds of farm animals around the property. There are nice hiking opportunities available right from the house. Thanks again for letting us stay at this beautiful place.

A friend and I stayed at Maria's place as we were visiting Calheta for the first time. From my initial outreach to Maria, she was always responsive and very accommodating. Maria and her family were very welcoming and friendly. They hosted us for a lovely breakfast and a few unexpected friends even came over. Maria's place is in a very walkable area and close to a beautiful cliff over looking the ocean. Highly recommend.

Logement très agréable, bien placé et très propre sur la magnifique île de Maio. Nous sommes arrivés à 9h du matin et avons pu directement accéder au logement avec un transport inclus depuis le port. La piscine à débordement est très bien entretenue et permet de contempler parfaitement le couché de soleil. Un accès à une plage privée est également présent et permet une extrême tranquillité.

A very nice house. Spacious, quiet. With airco, which is very nice in August. Wifi is good, I could do quite a bit of work. Kitchen is fully equipped but I didnt really cook in it. There is a good restaurant just around the corner, Benfica. Also, Quebra Kanela is within walking distance if it is not too hot outside. If you want to go to Plateau take a taxi. Aidil met me when I was on the main street nearby, and took me to her house. There she explained everything. Later she brought me papaya which I liked, it is one of my favorite fruits. Highly recommended!

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis comme si nous faisions partie de la famille. Nos hôtes nous ont transmis avec passion leurs connaissances sur l’histoire du Cap-Vert, la flore, la faune et leur magnifique projet de conservation botanique et agroécologique. Loin d’un séjour classique, cette expérience nous a offert une immersion totale dans un cadre naturel préservé, où chaque échange et chaque découverte avaient une valeur précieuse. Le logement était plus que correct, confortable et parfaitement intégré à l’environnement. Pour les amoureux de la nature, les aventuriers et ceux en quête de sens, cet endroit est un véritable havre de paix. Une maison merveilleuse, parfaitement propre, joliment décorée et très bien équipée, dans un paysage de rêve (la terrasse donne sur l'océan: pendant notre séjour de 7 jours nous avons vu des dauphins et une baleine directement de la terrasse). Les très gentils et efficaces Ivania et Daniel ont été toujours présents pour aider avec tout ce dont nous avons eu besoin (des repas, un gâteau d'anniversaire, un tour de l'île, des conseils, des histoires sur Maio et ses habitants). Patricia est toujours à l'écoute et nous a énormément aidés, par exemple avec le transport depuis et vers Praia: énorme merci, Patricia, pour l'hospitalité parfaite! Nous y retournerons car l'expérience à Maio a été fabuleuse!

Great space

The unit is just as shown in the pictures. Very nice and clean place. New Development. Building seems to be very safe. A key is needed for the main door to access inside in the building. Safety and security was big for me and this place did feel secure. The cleaning lady was amazing and helpful. Rooftop is shared so laundry is left to dry up there but I never had any issues with my neighbors. Only downsides were the water did run out and we did not have any running water for a few hours. The master bedroom door did lock on it’s own and would not open, there was an issue with the handle it came loose and was not operating properly. Besides those two hiccups I enjoyed my time there. I stayed for about 15 days and felt at home.

Gentillement Bernard a accepté de venir nous chercher gratuitement à notre hébergement précédent. Il nous a logé dans une maison plus grande très agréable. Valérie et Bernard font tout pour que notre séjour soit agréable :prêt de vélos, conseils avisés, nous avons beaucoup apprécié la visite chez son ami Raphaël Colicci qui a fondé la ferme d'agroforesterie Maioasis :un projet extraordinaire pour développer des fermes autonomes à but social et solidaire sur l'île de Maio.

Это прекрасный дом, с большой гостиной, полностью укомплектованной кухней, верандой, с видом на океан. В доме очень тихо, уютно, бассейн буквально за соседним домиком. От бассейна можно спуститься на маленький пляж. Большие отличные пляжи в 10 минутах прогулки. Рядом несколько магазинов, с хорошим ассортиментом продуктов. И главное: мы видели китов прямо с веранды нашего дома, это невероятно!

Franklin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat uns vom Pier abgeholt. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und gemütlich und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Strände sind einfach großartig .

Perfeito, fiquei muito contente com a estadia. O dono é muito simpático, e foi tudo explicado com muita clareza. Recomendo muito.

We enjoyed staying at Sandro's apartment, everything was very organized and clean. My daughter felt right at home, she was still able to watch Netflix and we enjoyed exploring the nearby restaurant where they sell the best “catxupa, couscous, as well as fresh bread and coffee” This place is highly recommended, especially if you are traveling with your family.

Logement conforme aux photos. situé juste au dessus du restaurant qui vous fournit le petit déjeuner. Tout est fourni, serviettes, gel douche et shampooing, c'est appréciable. Il est très bien situé sur le plateau de Parai. Des restaurants se trouvent à proximité pour manger ainsi qu'une superette où faire des courses si besoin. Et si jamais vous voulez aller plus loin dans Praia le taxi ne vous coûtera pas bien cher.

Our stay had some great aspects, but also a few challenges. The hosts were kind enough to let us into the house before check-in time, which we appreciated. However, the house wasn’t cleaned upon arrival, and while we were told it would be done before 3 PM, it wasn’t. The location was a bit tricky to find at first, and the WiFi signal didn’t quite reach the bedroom. Also, the bed had no fitted sheet, and the top sheet kept slipping off, which made sleeping less comfortable. That said, the house itself was nice, and with a few improvements in cleanliness and amenities, it would be a great place to stay. Thanks to the hosts for their hospitality!

Super séjour chez Maria ou l’on se sent comme à la maison voire mieux! Le logement est très confortable, bien équipé : il y a même un air fryer! Le voisinage est très accueillant le quartier est plutôt calme et sympa. Un grand merci à Aurelio qui a toujours su se rendre disponible ainsi qu’aux gardiens tous ont été très aimables !

L'appartement est très spacieux et bénéficie d'un emplacement idéal pour prendre les différents taxis. Il est situé juste en face du commissariat, c'est sécurisant. Depuis les 2 terrasses/balcons vous avez une belle vue sur les montagnes. Ce sont les parents de Dany qui nous ont accueillis. Nous avons vu Dany plus tard. Ils sont vraiment charmants, nous ont conseillé sur les choses à faire, à voir ainsi que sur les restaurants. Le papa de Dany nous a gentiment proposé de nous déposer plusieurs fois en voiture. Un grand merci pour leur chaleureuse hospitalité. Nous recommandons vivement cette location pour toutes ces raisons.
