The House of Ribô, is located in the historical part of the village of Soajo. Open space, with a modern decoration and an increase in comfort, the house offers all the conditions of tourist accommodation and thus receive respectfully everyone who visits it
“I would recommend Casa De Ribo for anyone truly wanting to get away from it all. The cottage itself has been renovated to a high and tasteful standard, with a nice bathroom, large dining table, a small sofa and a comfy chair. It's a clean and calm space. The two bedrooms, although part of the open-plan layout, feel separate, and it was wonderful to wake up (not too early!) to the sound of the church bells, the cockerel crowing and the odd dog making its presence known. The village isn't car-free but many of the cobbled walkways are too small for vehicles, which means that many of the resident dogs are able to take themselves for a walk come early evening - a lovely sight. Everyone was friendly to us, despite our limited Portuguese, and the two local restaurants we dined at were outstanding (sadly the third was closed during our visit). It was a pleasure to wander the cobbled streets at sunset and take in the surrounding valley views. Mario, our host, was extremely helpful and we were welcomed with a bowl full of fruit, homemade jams and liqueurs. A true home from home. Thanks, Mario.”
It's a house in the historic center of Soajo, in the Peneda Gerês National Park . The house is close to all monuments. A place nice and quiet. We offer breakfast every morning and have two bikes available to guests. Visit us. Best Regards.
“Manuel's house is beautiful and the town of Soajo is really worth staying. His mother serves a very nice breakfast at the cafe. The house has an oven, where you have to make fire, but if you have some fire-making experience, you should be fine. There is a very small stove, but big enough to cook some simple meals. In the back garden is an amazing lemon-orange-tree. It is very quiet and very spacious. You have an additional big living room to your kitchen and sleeping room. You cannot take your car directly there (because there are no cars in Soajo at all), but there are parking spots at the entrance of the town and then it is a 5 minute walk. I would definitely recommend it! It is a beautiful old stone house!”
In the heart of the Peneda-Gerês National Park, the Pereiró House is ideal for couples with or without children. The House of Pereiró is a typical construction of the Sierra Mushrooms, with housing on the first floor and stables on the ground floor. Today, recovered with comfort, but maintaining the traditional moth and decoration, it is in perfect harmony with its surrounding landscape.
“When visiting Soajo it felt like a privilege to stay in the old beautiful stone house with the amazing garden. Having breakfast under the wine grapevine with the fresh bread, cake, jams, fruit, milk and juice provided by Amelia was a real treat. The house is a short distance from the village center. We explored the village, went swimming in the river next to an old stone bridge (20 min walk away), walked the Caminhos do Pão (5km starting/ending in Soajo) and enjoyed the festival. When we arrived, we were welcomed warmly by Amelia. We found fresh fruit and vegetables in the house and cheese, ham etc. in the fridge. Check-in/out was very easy. ”
