Granny Woman Healer House

Granny Women healers of early Appalachia used herbs, common sense, Celtic spells, prayer, moonshine, and the King James Bible to heal all ailments. Based on long oral traditions and reconstructed on the spot were Granny Woman O'Clery's husband built a tiny cabin before being killed in a Indian attack. The cabin still holds all the healing powers of a restorative getaway in rustic luxury. Seamless convergence of inside/outside living and central to all modern Roanoke has to offer. Come by ya'll.

Features: hot tub, outdoor dining area, small kitchenette amenities, and smart-tv w/firestick (must use your hotspot to stream). 10 min to BR Parkway, Peaks of Otter, and Claytor Nature Center. Wineries, orchards, and hiking nearby. Friendly dogs may occasionally visit from my mother’s house next door. (Look for Wind Tides Farm sign). ***If booking in winter months, keep in mind the wind tends to be heavy, depending on weather.***

The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. For the best sleep, open the bedroom window!

You are welcome to share the dock with us! It's a number of steps to get to the water, but well worth the walk back up.

Enjoy gorgeous views at this perfect home! On a small cove on Smith Mountain Lake, the home has 3 spacious bedrooms, two indoor gathering/TV spaces, and a fully equipped kitchen. Fishing, kayaking, sunbathing and swimming await off the dock, as well as peaceful year round views from multiple outdoor spaces, including a screened-in porch, deck, hot tub, lower sitting area and fire pit! It’s the perfect space for every season, and we are thrilled to share it.

Otterview Mountain House

Otterview has one of the most incredible views in the state, a huge deck, and a pond. The house is open format with 3 bedrooms, a top-of-the-line kitchen, cozy living room, and an extraordinary great room. Look out at the Peaks of Otter, enjoy incredible sunrises and sunsets. You are welcome to grill out on the Blackstone, enjoy the fire pit, and relax on the dock. There are two miles of trails on the 37-acre property with their own trail signs and map.
