Holiday houses in Smábátahöfn Seltjarnarness

The hosts, Gerður and Óskar, were responsive and proactive in ensuring all was going well during my one week stay by checking in part-way through my stay. I appreciated the privacy given by both the location of the property and the hosts themselves. The location and property, located in Kópavogu, was exactly as described and it was a great jumping off point for exploring the surrounding rural areas and Reykjavik by car. Kópavogur is also more accessible to the airport (KEF) and south-western Iceland. I enjoyed discovering shops, restaurants and bakeries in Kópavogur as it is a more relaxed atmosphere than downtown Reykjavik which is also very accessible from this location. Extremely well stocked with supplies and all sorts of gadgets and home comforts. Christmas decorations and a small gift for each of the children along with a bottle and chocolates were such a thoughtful and nice touch as we were staying over Christmas Day. Just bear in mind it’s a tourist attraction so if you don’t lock the door you may get an unexpected visitor. We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of character and very homely.

We had the BEST stay at Kristine’s cabin! It’s in a sweet small town situated in a perfect location for Golden Circle exploration. It’s so clean and decorated beautifully, and it’s up above the town center so it’s private and so peaceful. Kristine went above and beyond with a sweet welcome of fresh flowers and treats; we felt so at home! The space is perfect for a small family of 3, and the hot tub was the best end of a day. We already want to come back!

We had such a lovely time at Zoei’s garden. One of the coziest places we’ve ever stayed in! The geothermal hot tub was so nice to relax in and take in the beautiful surroundings. The house has everything you need and more. Very family friendly. If we are being honest, Godo (the cat) was our favorite part of our entire stay. He was the sweetest cat we’ve ever met and I think we’d travel all the way back to Iceland just to see him again! ♥️ The house is in the perfect location to travel to Reykjavik or the snæsfellsness peninsula and anywhere inbetween. Zoei was an incredible host - super responsive and always available to answer any questions we had! Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us! We will be back!

Lovely place, host was very kind! The location is directly in back yard of host which isn’t ideal for me. But most people don’t mind! But the area is so beautiful. Also the house was immaculate in both style and function. Comfy bed, nice appliances. The view of the water was amazing. Would highly recommend

This was the perfect place for our group of two moms and two teen daughters. It was within an hour of Reykjavik and key Golden Circle sites, and was easy access to Highway 1 that took us to the Southern part of the country to experience its dramatic features (our favorite part). Nearby Sellfoss offered the cheapest gas we found and lower prices at grocery stores than in Reykjavik. We had amazing views of the Northern Lights every night we stayed up late enough to see them due to the wide open views from the cabin and relative low light in the valley. The hosts were AMAZING, offering tips, keeping us informed about the area, and even dropping us a quick note when they'd heard through local reports that there would be a particularly great aurora display that night. We also loved the relative privacy and open space around the cabin. I almost hesitate to go on as we plan to return one day and I hope the place isn't booked solid!

Checkin was a breeze and Alfa was extremely helpful throughout our entire stay. Truly a beautiful home with everything you need, especially if you’re traveling with kids. Views from the home are absolutely stunning and the interior is very warm and welcoming. My family and I enjoyed our stay and would absolutely love to visit again.

Es gab Probleme mit dem Strom aber Katrín hat sofort reagiert und jemanden geschickt, um das Problem zu beheben. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich, die Lage am Meer ist super und es ist sehr ruhig. Es war makellos sauber.

We had an amazing stay in this cozy cabin overlooking the water. We rented a 4x4 so the driveway was no issue. This stay was close enough to all the things we wanted to see but far away enough that we felt like we were alone in Iceland. Perfect size for a couple! Warm and cozy in March with spectacular views.
