I feel like lots of descriptions try to "oversell" you so I'll share a few things i genuinely love about my mini a-frame. - It's in the most peaceful setting - it's like camping but wayyy cozier - with a super comfy bed :) - You'll feel secluded but just steps in the forest from your parking spot + only 15 min. to Hendersonville and 17 to Brevard - You can open the side to create a covered patio - My own brand of local coffee is always included

This beautiful 600 sq foot cottage is perfect for vacation or long weekend getaways! It is a one bedroom, queen bed, with a blow up mattress. Wifi, streaming tv, full kitchen, gas grill, and pet friendly! ( Max 2 pets) It has a nice firepit outside with fairy lights to enjoy your evenings. So much to do within minutes of the cottage from restaurants, hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing, pubs, and beautiful water falls. The little house is next to a 2 acre pond(that fluctuates), in a small neighborhood, 15 minutes from Brevard and Rosman. Upstairs is a covered porch with a bench, and down stairs is another covered porch with a swing and laundry room. Inside is a Queen bed, full kitchen, and a three-quarter bathroom. Pet friendly. Fire pit. This is the only house on the pond, and you will have your own dock. DISCLAIMER: THE POND IS LOW & OUT OF MY CONTROL! East Fork River, Dupont, and Pisgah Forest are nearby.

I am nestled between Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest, which means unlimited hiking, waterfalls, swimming, kayaking and fishing. Cyclers will enjoy being on one of the many routes, while mountain bikers can enjoy forest trails and challenge themselves to the Oskar Blues Reeb Ranch. Equestrian folks can avail themselves to our local horse boarders and ride in both forests. There is something for everyone!

Cottage at Gear Down

Southern Comfort at it's finest. Country living with easy access to all the art, music, and food that Brevard has to offer. Perfect for mountain bikers and hikers! Just twenty minutes to downtown and 10 minutes to Dupont State Forest. We took the 1950 cabin, home to the legendary bootlegger Clyde McCall, lifted it up and put a new footer, foundation, and sun room addition. Next, we set it back down and totally refurbished from the studs out. Everything is new inside and out.
