A Homey 4 bedroom on the shore of Lake Victoria

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. This is a perfect spot for bird watching as I will mention that it is near the Lake. My home is a self contained 4 bedroom well lit house that is located on the shore of Lake Victoria where, you can take peaceful evening and morning walks. The compound is large and events are also done here take your pick... from weddings to Birthdays. It is very near the social amenities such as the shopping centers and the tarmac road leading to the town.

A welcoming entrance features a bright yellow exterior and multiple large windows, providing ample natural light. The door, framed with a simple white finish, opens into a spacious interior. The clean, accessible pathway suggests an inviting transition from the outdoors.

Home is within Chula Beach Resort in Luanda Rombo (Rusinga) in a beautiful quiet and serene compound that gives the feeling of a homestead but with modern and clean finishes. You can order local and very delicious food (including breakfast) within the compound. The compound stretches to the lake so you can enjoy a beautiful and relaxing view anytime. A small bar is also available within the compound so you can order some drinks. No loud noises though, only calm Rhumba/ Benga music is played.

Two cottages with thatched roofs and two brick houses with metal roofs are arranged around a grassy area. A vehicle is parked nearby, and trees provide greenery along the pathway leading to the houses. The sky above transitions from daylight to evening.

Rusinga Island Sunset Homestay

Where are we? We are located in Rusinga Island, which is a small island in lake Victoria but connected to the mainland by a bridge. Mbita is the nearest town on the mainland and 8 km away from the homestead. The lake is always in sight and only a 5 minute walk away. On the island you will find mainly small farms with the families living either in the traditional mud huts or more modern brick houses. Several small villages are spread around the island, Kolunga Beach being the closest.

Beautiful house in the green. The house is fully equipped and has a very large garden with shady trees. You can either relax on the veranda, in the deck chair or in the hammock. Delicious meals can be prepared In the kitchen, on a gas stove and dined in the cozy living and dining room. We welcome single travelers, couples and families with children.
