A traditional Shetland Crofter's cottage in Baliasta, Unst, Shetland. Close by to the Loch of Cliff, near to the local shops and leisure centre. We absolutely love our little spot and enjoy opening it up to our many well-travelled guests. The cottage is very cosy, has a wood burning stove, and a good-sized garden. Please be aware though, that it is a very old house and as such has some rustic quirks. While we are happy to accommodate children please be aware all beds are doubles.

The Peerie Neuk is a sustainably built tiny eco home with all the comforts of a cosy house just a bit tinier! There is a double bed and fold out sofa, suitable for one adult or two children. There’s is a small kitchen with hob, kettle and little fridge (large enough for two bottles of prosecco 🤣). There is a wood burning stove with oven. The oven will keep things warm. There’s on demand hot water, shower and compost toilet.

My house is on a working croft or small farm. We have sheep, hens, and you may meet one of our working dogs. The area is very quiet. A safe place to relax and enjoy the local wildlife. Great walking country and stunning local scenery. Dogs are welcome by arrangement -there is a secure garden. Please note that this is a working croft, so please keep dogs under control.
