great place for a family gathering

This home is beautiful and peaceful and the hosts were so nice! We had some crazy things happen with my family, and they did everything they could to help! It was just really nice to have found this beautiful home! Thank you!!

My aunt got married in Gainesville. We needed a place for the family to stay and couldn’t be happier with our choice. Great place. 100% recommend to others

From the time we walked in, we felt right at home. The bedrooms were spacious and beautiful and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bonus was the outside. Even though it was too cold to swim in the pool, we enjoyed the outside views from the open fields and the beautiful ponds to the horses. We will definitely be back.

This was a great little house in the woods. We were able to be close to my mom who lives in Whitewright as we were dealing with a death in our family and that was very important. I would love to go back when the trees are green and we could enjoy the pool and gorgeous patio area at the “clubhouse”. I would highly recommend this place.

Second time booking this rental and I still love it. Christine is again always so easy to communicate to and the house is yet again open, welcoming and beautiful. Close to town but far enough to feel like you rented a getaway.

The Gaia's place was so peaceful. There were so many little places to relax and take in the sun - fell in love with outdoor space. My 3 pups enjoyed exploring the secluded areas we were prived to. The jacuzzi was a perk for my teens since there is only one TV in upstairs room. Outside lights really well at night and so lovely to enjoy time together. The hosts were very timely and commutative with all questions/concerns we had and was apologetic for things they weren't aware of. Such as rug not cleaned properly and/or bathroom door locked. Great kitchen appliances if you choose to cook or dine in. We brought food and fridge is very spacious. Very kind people who you can tell care about their guests. We will return because I truly did get great rest.

This was The best home! The minute you walk in it feels so homey and peaceful. Very thoughtfully decorated.. Lots of space and sleeping. Kera has thought of Everything for both kids and adults. Home was clean, beds were comfy and the back yard fire pit was awesome. I would 100 percent recommend this home..

This is the most charming home away from home. We have never stayed in an Airbnb and were a little apprehensive. This ended up being a perfect place for our family to stay during a remodel that went from a 3 week timeline to 10 weeks. Adam was so accommodating with our changing timeline and making sure we had everything we needed to make us feel at home. I highly recommend this place for a short or extended stay!

After a bad experience with an AirBnB near Dallas, we needed a last minute place to accommodate 11 and space for family to visit. The location is a bit remote but very peaceful and easy to find. It’s a great location for a large family getaway. The host was excellent in every way!

Josie’s home accommodated our family perfectly! We loved the children’s play area and fenced in backyard. Also enjoyed the sandbox and climbing wall. Kitchen was well stocked and personal touches throughout were very welcoming and homey. Loved the original artwork!

We stayed at Birdsong Retreat for a family wedding. It was great for what we needed. However, the neighborhood was run down. Also, the back yard needs to be replanted. There’s no grass as pictured.

One of the best family vacation experiences we’ve had! Lots to do on the lake within walking distance to the house. We hope to be back soon!!

Room to gather and play. Room to get some private time. Walk right to the beach. Lots of outdoor and indoor play spaces. Our blended families ages 1 to 65 had so much room to connect and make memories. Thank you for sharing your home. And yes it felt like home.

Our stay was relaxing and the home was impeccably maintained. We were close to downtown and to our friends; it was so convenient. It was so nice to come downstairs to the kitchen in the morning and have morning coffee sitting outside on the porch. It was one of our best stays in Denison and we will be back!!!

Had a wonderful stay at Michael's house. The house was clean and well equipped. My family are not coffee drinkers; but those who are would have loved the coffee machine with a full drawer of coffee pods to choose from. There is a bedroom on the ground level with ensuite bathroom/toilet, which was great for my elderly mother. It was also great to have two sets of washing machines and clothes dryers (one set each in the ground floor master bathroom and level 2 master bathroom). Michael was always very responsive to questions and messages. Would like to thank him also for accommodating an early check-in for my wife and I, which was a godsend after a long trans-Pacific flight. No hesitation in recommending this to anyone coming to Denison.

Great place to stay. Wish there was a bigger seating sofa in the living space. The water sprinkler at the entrance is protruding and we tripped on it in the night and the bushes at the entrance needs some trimming. Other than this, the home is great with nice big backyard.

We were incredibly thankful for this house for a stay while our daughter got married in Gunter. This made things so much more convenient for us. Very comfy and cozy home! Perfect for our needs! 💛

Charles has a wonderful ranch. Everything was clean, welcoming, and perfectly prepared for our arrival. Throughout our stay, Charles was exceptionally helpful and responded almost immediately whenever we had questions or needed assistance. I highly recommend it to everyone. The ranch is truly beautiful, with a friendly atmosphere and many animals around.

The house was clean and cozy, accommodating a party of 6 to 8 people. My stay went smoothly, as we primarily used the space to sleep while being out and about all day. However, we might need a larger dining table for a gathering of 6 or more.

Our family’s stay at Lilac House was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we drove onto the secluded property to the minute we walked into the warm and inviting home, we knew we were in a special place. Rosemary’s home was exceptionally clean and stocked with games, a tv ready for your streaming services, beautiful handmade quilts throughout, heated toilet seats with bidets, a Blackstone to cook your meals, a washer and dryer with detergent to use, and a fantastic screened in porch to enjoy your beautiful surroundings. She thought of everything, and we needed nothing to prepare our family meals in her well stocked and well equipped kitchen. Cabinets throughout were labeled and easy to navigate. Rosemary was incredibly responsive and patient answering all of our countless questions. She was wonderful to work with. Our family of 5 plus our two dogs enjoyed a memorable stay at the Lilac House. We highly recommend Rosemary’s Lilac House and would unequivocally stay there again.
