The place is located in one of the most varied areas of the island, about 5 km from the seaside resort of Mosteiros and in the immediate vicinity of Caldeira Sete Cidades. In the village about 250 m away there is a small minimercado with a café. The house is located directly on the hiking trail to the cliffs to Mosteiros and to Caldeira Sete Cidades. The location offers a scenic and quiet starting point to explore the rest of the island.

Welcome to Castanheiro. Our property is a recently refurbished house built around a century old chestnut tree. A spacious terrace offers a panoramic view of the Santa Cruz Bay. It is conveniently located in Lagoa and within a 3 min walking distance to the ocean . A stroll to natural swimming pools will take you 10 min. The house was lovingly restored to maintain its original stone features. A perfect place to enjoy with family and friends as it comfortably accomodates up to 6 people.

All bedrooms and common areas have windows, equipped with air conditioner, wireless boosters forinternet access. Located in Fajã de Baixo, about 4 km from Ponta Delgada city center, it offers a peaceful and authentic setting. Check-in is from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM and may be adjusted subject to availability. Please let us know your expected arrival time in Ponta Delgada so we can arrange check-in. We recommend renting a car.

Casa do Galo is a five-minute walk away from the “green lake”, and only three from the “blue lake”, giving you the opportunity to enjoy, comfortably, the peace and tranquility of the Sete Cidades volcano crater, immersed in the different shades of green. There are several recommended trails in the area which allow guests to explore the beauty of the nearby lakes and the local restaurants give you the chance of tasting the delicious Azorean cuisine.

It is a century-old house, recently recovered while maintaining the stone structure. Very calm and quiet area where tranquility is a privilege. It has a beautiful view of Pico da Vara as well as the sea and the parish. The house is in an area where you can see the sunrise.
