Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Sertã

Domingo and his wife Olinda are absolutely gems that I will always treasure in my Heart! I had a lot of questions initially before booking and they were kind to answer everything I needed to know! My stay was super peaceful, the little house was cool on a warm summers day and I slept very good in the bed! It was a blessing to receive home grown yummies from the farm (Potatoes, tomato, apples, grapes, herbs...) and I took some walks into the stunning nature behind the house. I would return there in a heartbeat. The only thing I did not check before booking (which turned out to be a good thing) was that theres NO WIFI - this would't bee something for working travelers that rely on good internet. Also I'd only book in the summer as theres only one coal oven in the kitchen but no other heating in bedroom. This stay is ideal with car. I stayed 5 days without car and I was so grateful that Olinda took me with her to farmers market and supermarket so I had enough food for my stay :) Loved it

At first I was a little scared because I checked the location on Google maps and it's not easy to find, but I decided to believe that everything was going to be fine and it was! It's a beautiful place, super private, with beautiful views of the whole area and super close to the Fragas de Sao Simão, which is a very close river. To tell the truth, it was an incredible surprise. Whenever I want to spend a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this will be the favourite place for me and my family. A special thanks to Mr. José Barroso and his wife, although they could not receive us the first day, they were there on the day of departure, they were super kind and attentive. On the first day we were greeted by Mr. José Antonio, a local who was also very kind and understanding of the situation that we did not speak the language well. Thanks!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this space. It was peaceful, amazing views, and our 3 boys had such a great time enjoying the jacuzzi and jumping into the river. Quiet town that is the perfect escape.

Casa do Tojo e Rosmaninho was such an experience! The view is even better in person than the photos. Waking up everyday on the lake is something I will never forget. We picked the oranges from the orange tree, we enjoyed our coffee on the patio and cozied up by the fire every night. It was the perfect amount of space for my husband, 2.5 year old son and I. Coming and going to the house through the garden always felt like an adventure. The house has a history you can feel. Inês and her mother were so kind and welcoming. Upon check in, they had started a fire for me <3 And during my stay, if I ever messaged about anything, Clementina would respond within 30 seconds! They made everything so easy and special for us.

Bianca and Gavin’s home in Pedrógão Pequeno is a hidden gem. Their warm hospitality made us feel instantly at home, and the lush garden filled with fruits was an absolute delight. The house is peaceful and beautifully maintained, nestled in a charming village where we met the kindest neighbours. A truly special stay that left us feeling refreshed, connected, and grateful. The location is spectacular. Great for those who want to just relax and enjoy nature, from enjoying the morning sun with a beautiful landscape to enjoying the starry night sky. The house has all amenities for a comfortable stay. Thank you to Francisco who was always available for whatever it took.

It was an incredible stay. João's space breathes tranquility. Located just a few metres from the water, fun is always guaranteed if you are a fan of water sports. Apartment was great. In the middle of old town.

💯 recommended, 💯 value for money, clean, full-equip, 🅿️ free, comfort. I had never slept on such a large bed (for four people) with super comfy cushions and totally white bedding and towels. Also comfortable sofa bed and air conditioning and smart TV. If you are thinking of traveling to the Coimbra region it is the best place without a doubt.

The accommodation was very good and cozy, everything was clean and organized. The hostess was very kind and attentive. We know the waterfalls that are not incredible. I would definitely go back there

Paula really goes above and beyond to make it as comfortable as possible. What a sweet, nice woman and what a nice house it is. We were there in a rather wet period and in the house it was cold. But there was enough wood for the stove and she came to bring us electric heaters for the bedrooms. We also didn't arrive until 12:30 at night and we had communicated that so there were fresh eggs and sandwiches in the house in the morning because the village was rather remote (which is wonderful for peace and quiet). But we also learned that a bakery came by at night and that you could put a bag with a note in it and you had fresh bread in the morning! I can tell so much, but you have to experience it yourself. Anyway: Paula is a winner!

Clean and tidy stay in quiet surroundings

We had a very pleasant stay at Miranda's place. It was warm enough and well insulated (which is quite the exception for apartments and houses in Portugal). The kitchen was well equipped and the house was spacious while not lacking a warm atmosphere. We also liked the little pine forest just behind their house. The communication worked well, and we also had the opportunity to get to know Miranda's daughter, Tessa, a little bit more, which enjoys talking and showing around. Miranda has also been promptly helpful as we lost the key of the main door and with few other questions we had. All in all, very glad to have stayed there–gladly anytime again!

My husband and I loved our one week stay at Elsa's home and were sad to leave. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was well outfitted, water pressure in the very spacious bathroom was great, and the balcony with table and chairs and view of the castle was amazing. The air conditioning came in handy for a quick cool down of the room, but it wasn't needed much. The location was a lot of fun, allowing us to walk all over town, and the restaurant recommendations were great. Our only difficulty was locating the parking garage, and that was because we didn't think we could drive down the street it was on! The attendants were very courteous and helpful, and we usually ended up just paying 3 euro to garage the car from 7pm to 10am, moving the car out to either explore nearby towns or simply to put it in the local free lot. We absolutely loved our stay and definitely recommend it for anyone looking for an in-town Tomar experience!

This place is amazing, the views are incredible, unfortunately the weather didn't allow is make use the pool whilst we were there but even without this we had 3 lovely relaxing nights here. Eric is friendly and helpful and we loved the visits from the dogs as we were missing our own at home. Casa zen is perfect for relaxing and winding down, the accommodation is spotless and the location is beautiful

We just stayed at Martine’s accommodation and It was perfect we got to enjoy the pool as weather was hot it’s very close to Tomar and also close enough to Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima We really enjoyed our stay and Martine was lovely very accommodating and making sure everything was ok for us I Highly recommended this accommodation

This countryside getaway is a hidden gem. We loved the luxurious apartment and the view over the fields of the sheep, goats and donkeys. We also enjoyed exploring the Serra da Lousâ on foot and by mountain bike. Lots to do here and Tom is a really helpful host.

Pete and Linda are the best hosts we've ever had on Airbnb. They both went out of their way to make us happy and comfortable, from local restaurant recommendations to pool toys and everything in-between. Our daughter had an amazing holiday! The house itself is charming, with tonnes of space and everything you could need. The pool is fantastic and well kept. The local area is remote and beautiful with gorgeous countryside everywhere and some charming river beaches. I managed a run down from the house to the beach and back a couple of times but it's pretty hilly. In short, we couldn't recommend this place more. Thanks

Spectacular experience! From the time of booking to check-out, Mrs. Sonia and Mr. Rui were impeccable with us. Always very attentive and responsive to any questions we had. The house itself is spectacular and matches the description/photographs. We were super happy with the choice and the conditions. The location of the condominium is very good. It's in a quiet place and 20 minutes from the big hypermarkets. The neighborhood is super friendly, and access to the pool is definitely a bonus. All this culminated in a great week of vacation! Definitely an experience to repeat. I highly recommend Mrs. Sónia and Mr. Rui to anyone who wants to visit Tomar and/or take a relaxing vacation, far from the chaos of the city!

Martjin & Corina were the best hosts we could ask for, made us feel welcome from the very first second. The whole place is lovely and suuuuper welcoming to who want to relax and connect with nature and a quiet place. They also know how to take care of their guest and have maaaaaany awesome tips and recommendations for activities and things to do around their place, such as Wakeboard Park, amazing natural pulls, hikes and the best restaurants in town. Their place is beautiful and meets all the details described on their page. I recommend it over and over again and hope to come back to this place as soon as we can.

Our group of four had a absolutely wonderful stay at Maarten and Denises place. They really have poured their heart and soul in creating a unique and stunning house and environment. Every detail was thought of, and even things we couldn't have imagined, such as multiple hangout nooks to enjoy a coffee and scenery, a beautiful pool and an outside kitchen! Such a heartfelt family, who made us feel super welcomed. Thank you! We all hope to return one day :)
