Dongchonjae is located in Seochon Village, close to Gwanghwamun Square and Gyeongbokgung Palace in the centre of Seoul. Dongchonjae, built about 100 years ago, is a traditional hanok that has been officially certified by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Korea Tourism Organisation. Dongchonjae has been operated by a retired couple who opened their home since October 2020. Dongchonjae is located on a 380.17 m² plot of land It consists of one building, and the space is the main house (Anche/Main House), Sarangchae/Detached House, and Annex. Guests have exclusive use of the Main House and the Annex. The host is in a separate building I live in Sarangchae (Detached House) and will personally assist you with necessary services such as providing breakfast. We hope you can comfortably experience the tranquil beauty and subtle atmosphere of a traditional hanok at Dongchonjae. It is a 100-year-old hanok guest house designated as a tourist convenience facility in Seoul, and has been in business for four generations. The host couple lives nearby, completely separated from the space used by guests, and provides breakfast. It is a quiet and cozy resting place, each room has a bathroom, a cafe-style veranda, a 10-minute walk from Hyehwa Station, and a parking space for 2 cars. It is 20 minutes away by public transportation, including Dongdaemun, Namdaemun, Gwangjang Market, Myeongdong Shopping, Changgyeonggung Palace, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Insa-dong, Blue House, and Namsan Tour.
