This all-season retreat puts you on trails in the heart of the Seeley Hills. Close to the Birkie Trails and CAMBA, our cabin in the woods just one mile from the Sawmill Saloon offers a quiet retreat or active holiday. The choice is yours.
“We found the Seeley Chalet Apartment to be a very relaxing and calming place to stay. Patty and Bob were very gracious hosts. We enjoyed Patty's homemade banana bread upon arrival and after long hours of nordic skiing on the Birkie trail. Bob gave us a detailed tour and explanation of the Chalet amenities and features, which we greatly appreciated. We found the beds very comfortable and the chairs wonderful for sitting back, relaxing, and reading a good book. There is a good selection of movies to watch on the DVD player as well. The price is reasonable. We plan to return again for another fun filled get-away.”
Explore thousands of acres of public forest land and enjoy endless miles of some of the best recreational trails Wisconsin has to offer. Step out of the yurt, located in the middle of Bayfield County Forest land, and right onto CAMBA mountain bike trails and the North End ski trails (which connect to the American Birkebeiner ski trails). This is a rustic, minimally maintained yurt so come prepared to relax, unwind and enjoy/explore the wonders of the north woods.
“The yurt was just as advertised and that was every bit what we wanted! It is perfectly situated; far enough from the parking lot to be peaceful yet near enough for an easy hike up with our gear. It took a while to warm up (highs in the teens the day we were out) but once it did it was perfect! We packed up our food and water and enjoyed some lovely meals and time for games and reading. We all slept soundly but not before spending time outdoors with the most amazing winter stars! The yurt was the perfect base for our weekend of skiiing and snowshoeing the lovely North End trails and we can’t wait to do it again.”
Surrounded by trees, settled right on Lake Hayward sits this charming & cozy cabin in a little cabin community less than half a mile from the town of Hayward. Launch your canoe just steps from the cabin's entrance, bike into town for lunch, or go hiking or skiing on the nearby trails, this cabin is nestled in the perfect location! This is a studio size cabin with one queen bed, a bathroom, a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, keurig coffee, & outdoor grill.
“I was looking forward to a "rustic" cabin experience, and this site checked all of the boxes. The cabin was comfy and inviting, while being in a great rural location near a lake. In addition, I felt like the area was safe for single travelers, and I liked the security of having neighbors nearby. The cabin itself has themed decor of fireflies which added to the appeal of the cabin, and the amenities made it feel like home. It was a great mix of getting the "cabin experience" without having to rough it.”
