Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in San Rafael de Escazú

Nancy’s place is perfect for a nice and comfortable stay for a few days. The room is spacious with 2 big beds, a sofa, a work station and a TV. There’s a closet inside the room for storage and dressing. The private attached bathroom is big and the hot shower is just perfect. WiFi worked great all the time. It was convenient to use the shared kitchen to cook our own meals. Uber Eats options are also easily available. Nancy set up a coffee station for the guests in the common area - it was nice to make our coffee there and chat with other guests. Supermarkets are within walking distance and the SJO airport is a short Uber ride away. Nancy is friendly and welcoming, and her dog Dollar was the best highlight of our stay in this house. We loved playing with Dollar who seemed to love us so much 🥰

Edward was the best host we had in Costa Rica! He was so friendly and helpful. What ever we needed, he helped us. The rooms were very clean and beautiful. We recommend warmly this apartment!

Emilia’s home is just as lovely in person as it is in the pictures. She has a beautifully curated collection of paintings, books and sculptures that speak on behalf of her well traveled and interesting life. I only spent 4 days there but it felt like home and definitely felt safe as a female solo traveler. There was water, fresh juice, a fruit basket and snacks in the room when I arrived. There’s plenty of restaurants and shops close by but be prepared to go up and down a few hills or use Uber. A bonus to the wonderful accommodations was talking with Emilia. She’s a wise, thoughtful and intelligent woman. Our brief conversations were loaded with wisdom that I’m thankful she shared with me, when I’m back in the area I’m definitely staying there. I also bought several of her beautiful jewelry pieces, made in house by her amazing staff, to add to my memorable time in Costa Rica…Pura Vida!!

When we come to San Jose, we will absolutely stay here again! Over and over! There’s no simple words to express how welcomed and cared for we felt our entire stay. This place to stay was better than a hotel and honestly any Airbnb! Diego and his staff went completely out of their way to help us in every way. The staff was amazing and got to meet his precious wife the last morning as they accommodated our early check out. When we left I felt like we were leaving family.

Nazly, su esposo, sus hijos, son sumamente amables, siempre serviciales y con una luz que de verdad la podés sentir reflejada en la casa y su ambiente de paz. La estancia durante mis dos días fue extremadamente agradable. La casa sumamente limpia y organizada, con baño privado que es algo que uno valora, un jardín con un árbol de mangos y mesita al aire libre ideal para cambiar de ambiente. Don José y Felipe me ofrecieron té y preparan un pan que no tiene palabras para describir de lo delicioso. Fue una bendición poder coincidir y sin duda voy a volver. Impresionantes anfitriones!

David the host was extremely responsive and helpful. I had an early US Embassy appointment and he even got up to make me some coffee before the breakfast service started. Really appreciate the hospitality very close to the Embassy for appointments.

Excellent service--Lu even gave me a free upgrade for a month, and a ride to the airport on a Sunday night. I kept getting freebies from their kitchen too. Very nice people. Beautiful mountain views of Poas and of the city. Bring bug repellent--it is the tropics outside! Modern inside.
