La Magara is an old house built at the end of the 18th century. It is located on the highest point of Civita, a small village of Arbëresh origins, at the entrance to the Pollino National Park. La Magara consists of 4 large rooms equipped with all comforts. Warm and welcoming lights, panoramic views, and simple, reused materials that reference the historical past of domestic environments. Each room has retained its characteristics and each has an outlet in a different street. La Magara offers an exclusive experience of history and customs: from food to colors, from silence to the magical atmospheres that the environments offer. Breakfasts are the ultimate expression of local culture. Homemade jams and desserts, local fruit freshly picked in the family garden give a good morning. The apartment is on the ground floor. It was the old house of my grandparents, whom they built with their own hands with the support (solidarity) of the women of the village. They bore on their heads the stones that make up the structure of the wall. The reward? Dances and wine all night. Self-taught organist, my grandfather played and my grandmother welcomed all people.
