Enjoyed my stay! Whatever questions I had, they responded asap. Please be aware you are surrounded by lots of beautiful plants and trees so bugs are there but you can tell they are on top of extermination! I had such a gorgeous view, breakfast was affordable and tasty when I didn’t feel like eating out for a day. Absolutely amazing

O quarto era muito espaçoso e estava muito cheiroso quando chegamos. A cama era enorme e os travesseiros também. Roupas de cama boas e cheirosas. Há um espaço com uma mesa grande e aquecedor de água. Há água filtrada disponível. Dona Elena e seu marido são muito gentis e prestativos. Ofereceram para limpar o quarto e trocar roupas de cama e toalhas. Internet boa e localização excelente. Vale muito o preço. Única observação é que a limpeza das áreas comuns e dos banheiros compartilhados devem ser feitas com mais frequência.

Staying at Jardin de Katy is a must if you are spending any time in San Juan La Laguna. The garden is so lovely. I especially loved relaxing in the hammocks. Plenty of clean water and a whole kitchen to utilize. Hosts are super helpful and can arrange transportation for you. They're also just plain kind. This is also a language school and they have activities. I was kindly invited to join them from one, but I was busy at the time. It felt like my home while I was there. The only caveat I will make is that you remember where you are when staying anywhere in Guatemala. There are a lot of animals in the area. Animals make noise. Dogs, cats, roosters, and a host of other birds

Bany was the best Airbnb host we have ever encountered! He was so friendly helpful and responsive. The room was lovely, spacious and clean with the most amazing view! (I think possibly the best from that side of the lake!) We enjoyed waking up to a spectacular sunrise. The house is still being renovated but Bany provides cold water, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a microwave which we appreciated. It was excellent value for money and I wish Bany every success with his business in the future.

This was a great location to reach both San Pedro and San Juan. Like the other reviews, the rocky walkway up might be a hassle for some people, but was not a major issue for us. The host was extremely responsive and helpful, offering to assist us with our luggage up and down. He also gave us recommendations and gave advice when asked for. View is great to wakeup to. Was also a nice TV with streaming services included. Good wifi. Julian made the trip much better. It is always nice to have a host like this. The downsides were no hot water, and the room got quite stuffy and humid — likely because of the weather. It was uncomfortable to sleep at times because everything felt sticky, despite the powerful fan. The bed was also not very comfortable, but it did the trick. Kayaks included were quite bad condition and the location on the lake for kayaking is not great. My review is primarily based on the host and location between towns.
