Pet-friendly holiday rentals in San José Province

The gardens were a wonderfully peaceful respite. It was like taking a vacation while on vacation. The room was great, as described, and even had a dehumidifier available. The property is away from the city (we were able to Uber in and out of the city without too much issue - just a delay in finding a driver one night. We loved exploring and having our morning coffee in the gardens. We didn’t meet Phil, and we weren’t able to get a gate opener for our stay, but it worked out OK with two of us (one to drive the car and the other to get out and operate the gate).

Such a perfect little spot for us on our way to San Jose. Loved the convenient location and ease of getting in and out. The house is super thoughtful and well designed with lots of light, nice kitchen and bath and a beautiful green space out back. Very peaceful at night and it felt very secure with the car behind a big gate. We will be back. Thank you! Recommended!

Casa Peces is well maintained and comfortable. The home is spacious and the neighborhood was peaceful. The pool was perfect. It was very easy to communicate with both Martha and Jessica. I would absolutely stay at Casa Peces again on a future trip!

I had a great stay in San José. The house was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location. Check-in was smooth, and the host was very responsive and quick to resolve any issues that came up during my stay. It was a perfect base for exploring the city and surrounding areas. I’d definitely stay here again.

Truly an incredible, quiet, peaceful Costa Rican experience. Great for families, especially those with younger children- space to run and play, stocked with toys, and -a true treasure in CR- has a more powerful washer and dryer for “resetting” if you’re on a longer trip and need fresh clean clothes. The road in takes courage and potentially a 4x4 if you’re not used to driving the terrain like a Tico. Hosts are among the top 1% of all AirBnB hosts globally- intuitive, clean, accommodating, extremely well organized. Cooler weather and fewer mosquitoes than in other areas of the country. Best stay we have had in many trips to the area- thank you!

Such an awesome location! The beach out front was great, the house was so perfect, lots of space to spend out! The outdoor shower was amazing! They were super helpful with getting us reservations for dinner and tickets to the park. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The shared area has laundry and a pool table my kids loved. 10/10!

Laura and Verny are wonderful hosts. We were very grateful that they opened their beautiful home to us. From the moment we walked into the house, we felt like we were walking into our own home. Laura had everything in her kitchen that I needed to cook and bake for my family. The views surrounding their home are breathtaking. Verny and Laura were very respectful to our privacy and made sure that we had everything we needed. We highly recommend staying at this AirB&B the next time you visit this beautiful country. Amazing stay! I had some travel issues and they were super flexible with checkin! Great space and definitely felt like the most private and secure spot I stayed during my trip. Lovely outdoor area and plenty of space. Amazing hosts as well!

I can't say anything much different than all other posted reviews. Angie's Mountain House is stunning and Angie's attentiveness and hospitality is off the charts. If you are looking for a place that's off the beaten path and a way to experience true Costa Rican culture, this house in Turrialba is the one. The area is beautiful and the views from the deck are unmatched. The house is comfortable and provided all we needed for a home away from home, for my family of 6. We did have a few flies and beetles, inside and out, and there is an occasional dog barking and rooster crowing, but these are merely objective remarks and were non issues for us. After all, this house is in the mountains of Costa Rica. If driving, I would also recommend 4WD for the surrounding area, and the driveway is the most exciting part. I can easily say our time at the Mountain House will be remembered for a long time and we are already planning our return trip.

Booked this last minute and excellent communication. The place is newer and has great restaurants on the street level . Awesome pool and even better 21st floor to rooftop where you can spend the morning relaxing or wind down in the evening ! Check in was a breeze. The cooking facilty was awesome. Close to city but far enough to be away from the hustle n bustle

Jorge’s place in Rohrmoser was a great stay! The apartment is in a peaceful apartment building with great amenities like a pool, gym, cinema room, and steam room. The apartment was very clean, organized, and well equipped for our stay. Jorge was friendly and available any time we needed anything at all. The apartment is in a great location close to nice parks, lots of restaurants, cafes, and shopping centers. We also enjoyed being so close to the stadium and Parque La Sabana.

Our family group of 11 had a wonderful stay at Raquel's - we all wished it had been longer! The house was comfortable, the grounds are beautiful, the children enjoyed the pool, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The activities we had planned kept us away during most of each day, and we wished we had more time just to enjoy the space! Even with some water utility issues that were out of her control, she communicated with us about the potential problem, and the reserve tank kept us from being without water. Her responses to questions were quick and helpful. We highly recommend the place!!

I had a really lovely stay at this apartment. Daniel was incredibly accommodating to my needs and the communication was perfect. The apartment is beautiful, as are the amenities in the building. The area is lovely and feels safe and actually quiet by San José standards. The internet/wifi is great. The people at the reception and at the main entrance are very friendly. So I would definitely recommend this place.

This has been my favorite Airbnb since I have been in CR. I absolutely loved it! We will remember our time on the farm fondly. The view is something indescribable. The open air kitchen was awesome! The bed is super comfy. The steep drive up is a little rough but we made it with a small standard auto rental. I can not recommend this Airbnb enough. Xinia is a beautiful human and I wish I had been able to spend more time with her.

This was such a great first stop on our costa rica trip! It was an easy and beautiful drive from the San Jose airport. We had clear and helpful directions and the views were amazing. We would absolutely stay again! Our kids loved the play house, swings, and (although it scared mama a little) they loved the hammock off the master. The master bed was super comfortable and all the windows had stunning views. Loved it 🫶🏼

Everything is great, the area is super quiet and the apartment is as it looks in the photos, if I return to San José I will come back here for sure, thank you for everything!

I want to thank Luis for his hospitality, he was always attentive to questions and responded quickly. In fact, without asking for help, he was already giving me instructions to facilitate my arrival and of course we loved the place. He welcomed us with a gift👌🏻. If I return to Costa Rica, I will definitely return to Luis's Airbnb. To be recommended!!

Beautiful room with breathtaking views of the ocean below. Within walking distance of dozens of amazing restaurants, bars, shops, etc. Host had many great local recommendations! Can’t wait to stay here again.

Pablo’s place was perfect, it was clean, comfortable, welcoming, and really well located. I loved the neighborhood it was in, lots of great cafes and restaurants nearby.
