After 26 years of absence from Senegal, for this week-long vacation, we were returning as a family (12 people over three generations now), to this beautiful country that we knew, because we had lived there with our three children for two very nice years. We did not want to reside in a club to maintain our privacy and we did well to choose Villa Mima. Set in a beautiful setting, on the waterfront, the house directly overlooks a pretty sandy beach, where real Senegalese life is expressed, with all its nature, every morning with fishermen and every night for swimming and other sports sessions, just before a postcard sunset. We were filled. The house is superb, the decor beautiful and our hosts (Laye , his wife Ami and their team), in every way remarkable. Kindness, listening, availability, discretion, these are the qualifiers that describe them. Ami and Laye's cuisine, especially, is worthy of Saly's best restaurants. We really enjoyed ourselves every night, returning from our excursions and walks, from their delicious menus that we had made together. And for us, who were afraid to find the health quality problems of the water (once a daily concern for "touristas" invalid) and to spoil our week and/or that of our young and old children, we had at our disposal, at each tap of the villa, perfectly potable water, thanks to the very efficient filtration system, which is far from being very spread locally. The owner, Veerle, was very courteous and very responsive, was not present during our stay, but was constantly attentive to us, especially before our arrival, answering all our questions accurately, realistic and kind. In closing, we highly recommend this high quality rental, especially for large families or groups of friends eager to discover (or rediscover like us) Senegal, apart from club-type collective accommodations, often a little too sanitized.

Great stay. The nickel house, there are points for improvement but great value for money. Philippe was responsive. The top caretaker Ephrème always available and helping as well as Caroline. The house is large and well laid out. Attention separate rooms if children are toddlers otherwise between adults it is each great their bathroom and their bedroom. The pool is a delight and the beach nearby but not very swimmable plastic cleaning! Accommodation with the locals is lovely. I would recommend it and would love to come back.

Moutar and the people of the house - Diarra, Amy and Fatou - were amazing, friendly, proactive and efficient. My family and I had a great time in the Villa and we plan to return sometime soon.

Good location near the centre of Saly, in a lively popular area. Rustic but friendly house. If you are not allergic to farm noises: sheep, chickens, roosters and zebu cattle wandering quietly! Pleasant neighborhood and Samba the caretaker is great!

We are very satisfied with the accommodation and communication with Christophe was excellent as before the stay he took care to send us a welcome booklet with all the necessary information by email. We would like to thank and especially congratulate Maurice, the caretaker on site. Maurice was perfect from the beginning to the end of our stay. Always available, helpful and very friendly. A great stay in Paradise! The accommodation is very clean, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is spotless. The host, Maïmouna, is responsive, even proactive, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The guards are efficient, available and particularly friendly. Safety is waiting for you. In addition, I have no negative points to highlight regarding the staff or amenities of the residence. A more than honorable mention for Chantal, our housekeeper, who was available, flexible and warm. A big thank you also to the team at Le Dauphin restaurant, located in the residence, for their welcome and generosity! Quick tip: be careful not to fall into the comfort trap of the residence… at the risk of missing out on Senegal and its beautiful people. Nearby, countless experiences await you, whether human, cultural, or leisure. I would highly recommend it!

We had a great time at this villa! It is very well appointed, clean, spacious, and ideal for relaxing. The quiet area, perfect for resting. Regarding the location on the GPS, we know that it is not your fault, but it should be noted that access can be a little complicated, we were able to count on the help of Donald, the caretaker. Yango/taxi drivers sometimes had trouble locating us as the address was not very well indicated on GPS. Other than that, everything was great and we highly recommend this place! The host and Donald were attentive and available during our stay, a big thank you to them!
