You can actively move your body with paragliding, kayaking, rafting, and SUP experiences, or rent a bicycle and take a leisurely ride through the town. Nagatoro has many delicious udon and soba shops. Harvesting chestnuts, grapes, Nagatoro strawberries, and more is also fun. This is a private container house on the shore of Lake Gyokudō, a beautiful lake in Suefuno, Chichibu. We connected a 20 ft container and a 12 ft container with an outdoor living room. Limited to one group, so you can enjoy with peace of mind. We reuse containers that were actually used at sea, so you can feel the authentic taste and romance. The site is 250 tsubo, so it's okay to bring a tent. Barbecues and fires are allowed on the premises. You can enjoy a barbecue over a direct fire. Welcome to Richard Flavin's Washi House! Richard Flavin (1943–2020) was a Japanese paper artist originally from the US. He studied design in Boston and came to Japan in 1970. He later studied woodblock printing and developed a deep interest in the production of washi. He also cultivated the raw material for washi paper, paper mulberry. We invite those interested in washi paper and art to stay overnight and enjoy this space, reminiscent of a washi paper museum, including these unfinished areas.
