Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Saint John

If you find yourself in St. John and want a beautiful secluded space with a great view, do not hesitate to stay here! The road getting up to it is extremely steep so if that is hard for you, that would be the only issue. Our jeep made the climb up and down no problem, but it was the steepest road I have ever been on! Other than that, the space is perfect for your homebase. I highly recommend Coffee on the porch for sunrise before your adventure of the day. A great clean space that just feels good to be in.

This place is amazing, the views are to die for. It was clean and quiet. Neighbors quiet as well. Parking spot a little tight but I found that going past and turning around much easier to pull into. Beds were comfy and my husband could not stop talking about the beautiful shower and how much he loved the rain shower facet. Andy is super quick to respond to every message and help out with anything you ask. We will definitely come back to this wonderful paradise cottage. Thanks for a great vacation get away.

Beautiful, clean, eclectic villa in a great location!! Host representative met us at check in and walked us through everything. House was super clean and the view was great. Definitely want to arrive during daylight as the driveway is a little tricky the guest time up. Also, recommend 4 wheel drive vehicle. Having the beach chairs and cooler was a great addition for our adventures. Location is great for beaches and islands exploring. Was a great place to spend our 25th wedding anniversary:)

We loved our stay at the Yellow Flamingo. we traveled with 2 adults and 2 kids the size of adults(14 and 12). Honestly, I was very pleased with the condo. Based on the pictures and previous experiences with smaller rentals, I was afraid we were going to be cramped or the kids bed was going to be too small. I was pleasantly surprised they had enough room to share the sofa and we had enough room to maneuver around each other. We were very pleased with the location too it was a quick scenic drive to any of the main beaches. The view from the pool was great! The pool had a ledge to sit and was about 6 ft deep in the middle. The kids were slightly disappointed they couldn't touch bottom. This was the only complaint from them and it didn't matter because they got their water fix at the beach. The kitchen setup was great because we were able to fix quick dinners easily. Our host could not have done anything more to make our stay better.

Best location to stay! We were a <5 min car ride from the ferry. Walking distance to many restaurants. There was plenty of parking available nearby. The host was very responsive and offered tips, car reservations, and other excursions. The only con was the amount of stairs to get to the apartment but that was clearly stated in the listing and not too much of an issue for us. It was actually beautiful to walk up and have a beautiful view of the sunset in the distance.

As other reviews noted, the drive up was intimidating at first, so a jeep is a must. Kim met us in Coral Bay and we followed her up, but once we went up and down it was easy. The view of the sunrise is incredible, and it's remote enough that we didn't see another person the whole time we were there. Skinny Legs is at the bottom of the hill and we went there multiple times, Lime Out is nearby and is also a must. Most beaches are about a 15-20 minute drive; Kim had several recommendations. We'll very likely be back within the next year or so.

Absolutely would recommend to couples looking for a place to stay. Provided so much more than they had to (majorly appreciated) and the place was perfect.

My 10-year-old daughter and I had a great stay! Tricia and Dave were super kind and communicative, giving lots of helpful suggestions and were there whenever an issue arose. A few things to note: — the space is just below their home, and you can definitely hear them upstairs when they’re home — they provide so many helpful things to make your time there wonderful: beach chairs, towels, snorkel gear, Floaties, etc. — the listed address is not correct, so be sure to follow directions listed or maybe ask them privately for the correct address. I had no problems with GPS on the island, and I have Verizon — there’s no AC, but they do a great job of providing fans and ventilated windows — be sure to sleep with all lights off. We left a light on for the comfort of my daughter, the first night, and woke up to a lot of bugs inside. Lesson learned! Overall, a great stay, and we would happily return!

We had a great stay here! The porch is lovely with a view of the bay. It's right across the street from Skinny Legs which was a great place to grab a bite and a drink. There's a lot of wildlife around too which was fun to see. I recommend this place!

The home was very clean and welcoming and you will be greeted with a beautiful view of Hull Bay beach. The hosts were fast and very responsive when contacted and made the check in and check out very easy. The home had amenities like beach chairs, snorkel gear, floating devices and much more. The location of the home is perfect to get to many other beaches and local spots in a short amount of time.

We had an excellent stay at Dean and Melissa's. The view is spectacular and just like the photos on the listing! The hosts were very easy to communicate with and provided some great recommendations. Their apartment has everything you might need (and more) for your stay. Feels/sounds like you're in the rainforest at night with sounds of nature. You can hear the few cars that drive by from the road so if you're someone that needs complete quiet at night you may take that into consideration - it did not bother us in the slightest. Would highly recommend Dean and Melissa's place if you're planning a trip to the USVI!

Feara’s was super nice and flexible. She made the stay easy . I love the fact that her place was fully equipped bathroom , plenty of towels and kitchen wares . I enjoy cooking meals for myself , she had everything for me to use such as pots , blender , rice cooker you name it she had it in there. I would definitely book her everytime . As long as her place is available.

DO NOT GET ANY OTHER AIRBNB. I know I am some random internet stranger but this is the best airbnb I have ever stayed in. Mryla is the absolute best and the location is amazing. The apartment is perfect with a beautiful view and the beaches nearby are perfect. Do not miss out on this, trust.

Eric was extremely helpful and accommodating during our stay. He answered any question we had very quickly and gave us recommendations periodically. The place was clean and the location was beautiful and peaceful. You need a car to get to the airbnb but the roads are manageable for inexperienced drivers of steep and bumpy roads. I would 100% stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay! We needed a place for two nights within walking distance of Cruz Bay- this was the perfect spot. Bridget was there to greet us and their whole family was lovely. Location was great- short walk to Dolphin Market for groceries- and we even hiked to Salomon Beach!

Great location, perfect resort stay.

My fiancé and I stayed here for our annual trooical getaway. We're from the mountains of Colorado so we're very active and adventerous. This place was perfect! Close to the Red Hook ferries, some great restaurants, and everything was very driveable. We had a rental car and I'd recommend it for this location. It made life very easy. We enjoyed multiple dinners at home because the windows really do look like that and they're SPOTLESS. Enjoy that patio but definitely light a bug candle. We did everything! Hiking, snorkeling off beaches, snorkeling using boat charters... everything. We love this island and Veronica's little condo was exceptional. We did lose power for 1 night. I would recommend blasting the AC the minute you get back to prepare for having to go a night without it and do not open the windows if it happens. Just ride it out. Blame WAPA. I use a CPAP machine and brought a travel battery. I strongly recommend you do the same and bring battery banks for phones at least.

Our stay at Darryl & Deb's couldn't have been better. From the minute we booked our trip, they were in communication and provided answers for anything we inquired about. On the day of our arrival, we found everything to be as described and never had a complaint for the 10 days we stayed. The location of their condo is prime, with the patio being just steps to the water. It is also close - but not too close - to the bar and several options for eating, as well as the area where live music or a DJ is provided on weekends. We enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing 10 days and really can't think of anything that we would improve upon. Thank you Darryl and Deb for your hospitality. We will be back!

Love how the place is cozy, and very clean, and came with equipped kitchen ware to cook with. The condo had a beautiful view, and the drive was not as bad as we thought from the airport. Overall this place is lovely we have no complaints.

We just had the best stay at Heidi’s place! The location is perfect, right on the beach with an amazing view. Resort was so fun with great food and drink options, also close to Red Hook for additional options. The condo was well stocked and had lots of great extras (cooler, towels, chairs, kitchen amenities). Heidi was responsive throughout our stay and offered recommendations before we even got there. Highly recommend!

I don’t think the description fully captures how stunning this condo really is, it was absolutely beautiful. Jeffrey was an incredible host, always responsive and ready to help with anything we needed. The only thing I’d suggest is adding a full-length mirror, but aside from that, everything was perfect. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This was our first time in St. Thomas and we will never stay anywhere else! Sapphire Beach is where it’s at. This resort had the most beautiful views, great restaurants right along the beach, a beach bar, a beautiful pool with beautiful views, a jeep we could rent for an additional fee, and it was less than a mile from Red Hook so super easy access to the ferry & convenient for grabbing groceries. They even had beach attendants setting up chairs! Jenn allowed us to check in a few hours early and responded promptly any time I messaged her. Unfortunately when we arrived, the stove was shattered and the beach chairs inside the condo were rusted out completely. Jenn provided alternative options immediately & was very apologetic as there were some previous guests that disrespected the property. We also washed our dishes prior to using them as the dishes weren’t the cleanest, but wasn’t a huge deal to us! Everyone around was so kind. I would love to stay at this place in the future!
