Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Saint Croix River

We had a wonderful stay and thoroughly enjoyed the space for both working remotely and having a home base for nearby outdoor adventures. The only hiccup came when we attempted to get in - the door code wasn't working but, thankfully, the host responded quickly and reset the code for us remotely. Problem solved quickly. Inside, the coffee setup was OFF THE HOOK (and I'm picky about that), the rooms and beds were comfortable. A single bathroom for so many bedrooms is a bit of a drag but wasn't an issue for us. It's an old house that's been updated very well but maintains a good bit of it's old house charm. That does, however, come with some downsides in terms of old house smells and "rustic" cabinetry. But those were not deal-breakers and we still had such a great, comfortable time in the space. We would definitely book again because we've quickly fallen in love with the nearby and now we know we have a home great base.

Although I spent most of my time at work, It was extremely nice to come to a place I could call home for a little over a month! never had any problems and the hosts are very responsive into answering ant questions you may have. I actually tried to re book after I left but it was already taken. 10 out of 10 would Def. stay again!!!

We stayed at the pool house for a bachelor party and it did not disappoint! Being in early April we wanted to find a unique air bnb with something to do for 12 guys and we all had a blast swimming and throwing the football around. There are a lot of amenities, floatees, board game, tennis court with rackets etc. and the host was very thoughtful in setting this up. The kitchen was very nice and well appointed, the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, and we had no issues at all. I would highly recommend this place to any group getaway!

We had a small group of boxers in town for some fights and they thought the place was amazing. The hot tub was a special treat after they competed! The home was absolutely gorgeous, so much room. The area is quiet as well! Would definitely stay again if we come back to the area.

The home met all our needs. Our guests said it was the best ever. Kimberly was very responsive if/when we had questions. The firepit was fun to experience. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to use the bicycles. Would definitely recommend this home!

We had a great stay. Very straightforward communication and no issues. Safe neighborhood with a great playground nearby for the kids. Nice to have a backyard with a grill as well!

We had a wonderful stay at Andrea’s place in Minneapolis! The home was very clean, well-stocked with everything we needed, and clearly well cared for. Andrea was quick to respond when I couldn’t find something, which I really appreciated. The neighborhood was lovely and quiet, and it was close to everywhere we needed to get to — super convenient. We were in town to celebrate a special event and also enjoyed a lovely Easter dinner during our stay — the space was perfect for both. Highly recommend staying here!

Excellent apartment, close to downtown. Comfy bed. Easy to get inside. Kerilyn was helpful and easy to communicate with.

Daniel is very easy to communicate. We got to check out late due to our late flight. Very close to Mac and restaurants and Target, Whole Foods and other stores. Apartment is very clean. Use the grey sofa bed in the living room if needed, not the red ones in the small room next to the kitchen. The sofa bed is pretty comfortable. A pleasant stay on the whole. Definitely recommend to others.

Patricks place is great for a few people to stay in one place. it was easy to find in a really quiet neighborhood. Patrick was also flexible with check in and out and helping us get settled in

Cute place! We enjoyed the outdoor area, grill, fire pit, etc. All went well and it was nice to have amenities available to us. Would stay again, if coming back to the area.

This was a great location for a quick getaway to be by the lake and explore Jay Cooke. It was very clean, it had everything we needed, and there were special touches for my dog, which I really appreciated! I would definitely stay again.

Russell was able to accommodate us & our pups on short notice. This apartment and location is ideal for dog parents.

Such a cute and cozy apartment in one of my favorite areas of Mpls. I booked this as a staycation for some much needed alone time. The bed and living space were super comfortable and inviting. Would stay here again!

Felt right at home during our stay. Claudia is a great host to plan with, and she kept the house super cozy and warm (it snowed on the day we arrived for context). The beds were firm and comfortable, the kitchenette was clean and stocked with the basics, and the living area was just what we needed. Would recommend for anyone needing a long stay in Minneapolis.

The apartment was beautifully laid out and had a very relaxed and comfortable feeling. Everything was recently updated, easy to use and very comfortable. Really appreciated the coffee beans you provided. Great location to get to the lake for a walk along the shore. Loved the La Monarcha restaurant next door and easy to walk to the wonderful Black Cat Cafe, coop and other great stores down town. If I come back to Ashland I will first look to see if this bnb is available because it was so comfy and clean. Best, Mary

We really enjoyed our stay in late March. Great views of Lake Pepin and the sunrise over the bluffs. Saw a number of bald eagles soaring past on the waterline. The unit is in great shape -- very new, clean and comfortable. Beds were comfy and the kitchen was well-appointed. The building seemed mostly empty and Lake City was very quiet -- much busier during the summer I imagine! Note that there is a busy road between the unit and the lake/river. Easy to cross and the noise was not too bad, just something to be aware of, especially if you're expecting peace and quiet while sitting out on the balcony. Hiking in nearby Frontenac State Park was fantastic! The National Eagle Center to the south is worth a visit too. Also, try the Nelson Creamery on the Wisconsin side! Overall, we were very pleased with our stay here.

I brought my son and his friends to a concert this past weekend, and Jason’s place was perfect for us. He was so friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. We will certainly be a regular moving forward. Thank you for making this weekend even more memorable! We HIGHLY recommend!

We loved this condo because it was authentically representative of a time so long ago!! Yet out the door was a park with a lake and yummy restaurants

Beautiful place. Near lots of restaurants and event center. Quiet and peaceful location. Will recommend this to friends and family.

John’s place was perfect for what we needed. It was clean and well appointed.

This was our second time booking with Lisa, however for a different unit. Again, it was a great stay. I enjoyed the coziness of this condo and quietness of the neighborhood despite being in the city. She has everything you need for cooking and baking. I work remotely and the internet speed was great. The bed was super comfortable. I appreciated the on-site laundry too. Everyone was friendly overall!

I assume Jean-Claude to be modest because, the pictures don’t do it justice. It sits across from the Cathedral of St. Paul and the James J. Hill house, not to mention a stones throw from the capital. Clean, modern, kitschy and comfortable. Fenced in yard and pet friendly, we quickly met our neighbors. Found it on a whim. Grown sons had working weekend trips and we decided to go as well for a sight seeing opportunity. Mass at Cathedral, walking the dog on Summit Avenue, old home week visit to UW-River Falls. I have no doubt that we will be back sooner than later.
