Our favorite sushi place in Ballard! Right in the center of downtown Ballard. We always go for their "beach time" menu every day before 7 pm to get a great deal on high quality sushi and drinks.

We love the cafe upstairs for fresh seafood, gorgeous exposed wood beams, and the outstanding view of the bay. Go for walk at Golden Gardens, and pull up a seat here before sunset.

My personal favorite coffee shop. Where all the friendly local neighbors hang out and chat every morning (often with dogs/kids) on the heated patio terrace outside.

Excellent coffee, sweet baristas, and they have a drive through. I usually put my name on the list at Portage Bay for brunch, then walk over here for a cup here while we're waiting.

This is a wonderful zoo! Just a short drive up the hill from our house, and it has an awesome playground just outside the zoo gates to the north. The zoo also has an indoor playground for rainy days.
