Easy to get to, close to NYU, the most tolerable touristy spot I can think of. It's owned by Mario Batali, but it's never too crowded. It's not too expensive, the food is delicious, and it's right off the Washington Mews, which I think is the most beautiful block in Manhattan!

Oh. Man. This pizza is just so delicious and the desserts are a revelation. I still think about the yogurt panna cotta with sour cherry preserves and candied pistachios. Holy lord of deliciousness.

By far the most beautiful part of Central Park. Beautiful manicured English-style and French-style gardens with lovely fountains, statues, and flowers. Gorgeous!
