Food Scene

The latest and best Sushi restaurant of the famous Seattle based chef Shiro Kashiba. Try his OMAKASE (CHEF’S CHOICE SUSHI DINNER) for sure. Had better reserve ahead, or take a chance of a bar seat.

Great live music show and dinner my friends and I enjoy a lot in DT Seattle. The cover fee and dinner is decent and affordable. The show usually last more than 2 hours starting 7:30pm. The $43 appetizer+entry+desert dinner set is high quality and even good for two. Street parking is not hard to find after 6pm and $7 flat evening garage parking is one block away.

Sightseeing

Probably the highest free public viewpoint of Seattle in the background of Puget Sound and Mt Rainier. There's also park for kid to play. The view and experience is different every time I go there.

Although not the highest, It is one of the oldest landmark of Seattle. Within the newly renovated bar and occasional event venues, you would experience the unique mixture of modern and historical Seattle.

It's free, connecting nature and civilization. Aside of watching boats going through the locks, there is also salmon ladders and exhibition hall connecting Puget Sound and Lake Union. good for kids and family. In summer, there are also live music at noon and cultural events occasionally.

Parks & Nature

Around 3 miles' walking/running/biking trail circle around the lake. Good for all seasons. if adding 2 miles one-way from my place, it totals a moderate 7.2 miles round trip. water fountain, playground, restaurants, coffee shops alone the trails. Good spot spending half day emerging in the nature of the city.
