Food Scene

Our little piece of the Upper Valley is actually a strong part of the Vermont (and New Hampshire!) food scene, with lots to be found in Artisan's Park in Windsor and easy access to foodie favorites like Woodstock, VT and Hanover, NH. Whatever direction you head, you're sure to find original dining and great food!

Entertainment & Activities

There is so much to do in the area and not enough time or space to detail everything. You're sure to find great outdoor excursions any time of the year, and we're an easy drive to multiple National Historic Parks, state parks, town forests, and of course the Connecticut River!
Huge brewery and restaurant, the second outpost of Boston's Harpoon Brewery (one of the breweries that started the current craft brewing boom). They have an annual Oktoberfest celebration as well as other festivals and events, as well as 1-hour tours of the brewery floor (reservations recommended on weekends). The restaurant has great sandwiches and is very family-friendly! http://www.harpoonbrewery.com/breweries/windsor

An innovative distillery specializing in unique takes on whiskey, vodka and gin. Tastings are available during business hours, but we almost always grab a bottle of gin or bourbon when we stop by. The spirits are some of the best we've ever tasted.

Arts & Culture

With a wealth of historic sites, winter resorts, and Windsor's Artisan's Park nearby, there is no shortage of art or cultural offerings. Hanover and Dartmouth will be a big center for a lot of items, and Woodstock has a historic arts community. Cornish itself was once home to the world-renowned Cornish Artists' Colony, founded by Augustin St-Gaudens.

We are surrounded by nature and parks of all sorts in our area. Mt Ascutney has great hiking, we have a swimming area about 5 mins away in Windsor, and so many great views. Even a drive up I-91 will offer spectacular views.
