The hippies are long gone, but this neighborhood is more lively than ever. There are so many great shops that are sure to fit your needs. Walk Haight Street up to Golden Gate Park and then stroll to Hippy Hill before going over to the de Young Museum or the Academy of Sciences.

We love to hit this venue up when we can. It holds about 300, and is a regular stop for some great bands. Often Michael goes to shows even if he doesn't know the bands just because this venue is so much fun. The sound is always good here, and they have a decent kitchen and a great bar.
