Small, but for sure the most beautiful church in Bratislava, just 3 minutes walking from my apartment. It is the most apealing art nouveau building. Both exterior and interior of the church are painted in shades of blue colour. Next to the church you can also see another beautiful art nouveau building - Secondary Grammar scholl Grosslingova.

The oldest street in the city. In my opinion, the most beautiful and unfortunately also the most damaged one. It is a true hidden gem that many tourist do not see. You can see there the old houses, ruined palace and even the house of Bratislava´s Headsman. It leads directly to the St. Martin´s Cathedral.

A medieval building that houses the Bratislava City Museum, the oldest in the city (1868). When open, the museum features an exhibition of the feudal justice system, as well as the remarkable interior of the town hall building and original furnishings from the municipal court. In summer, cultural programmes are held in the beautiful renaissance courtyard and concerts are held in the tower.

Just 10 km west of the city centre, Devín Castle is set in beautiful natural scenery. Built on the top of a high crag, it towers over the small village of Devín and the confluence of the Danube and the Morava rivers which form the border with Austria. Up to 1989 the Iron Curtain was drawn below the Castle, lined with barbed wire. Along the Danube, under the Castle and further up the Morava, the Morava cycle-path leads through landscapes untouched for decades. Inside the castle, there is a historical museum, it also offers a spectacular view. To get there you can use buses no. 28 and 29 leaving from the bus stop under the Bridge SNP (known as the New Bridge). 29 will take you directly to the castle, with 28 you have to step out at bus stop Strbska or Devin and walk for 5 minutes. The ride takes 20 minutes.

No kidding, this is definitely the place where you get the best ice-cream in the city (according to Ryanair´s blog even in the entire Europe). The place is managed by a young lady who studied at a famous Italy´s Gelato (Ice-cream in Italian) Academy. All fresh made, also for allergic people or for vegans, unusual flavours. You will find it easily - there is no other place in Bratislava with so many people waiting in the queue. They know it´s worth it.
