Beautiful view awaits you there on a sunny day. You can go on a castle wall where the view is free or go on the tower where you get to see all sides of Ljubljana with a price of 7,50 EUR/per person. P.S. The price includes half an hour history video presentation about the Castle. You can take time at the Castle - drink tea or coffee if you'd like, and have a great meal too if you're hungry. The restaurant is a little pricey though.

Metelkova Mesto - one the largest, and arguably most successful urban squats in Europe - sprawled across 12,500m2 of an abandoned army base. The self-proclaimed city has become the leading centre of underground music and art in the region. Vivid, cracked-tile mosaics adorn the walls of the complex’s galleries and studios; rusty sculptures, fashioned from broken bike frames and upturned oil drums, cover its concrete gardens. It’s a place for critical reflection, civic engagement, and with its activities it is establishing Ljubljana as an area where ideas of all generations can freely flow.

In the past, Špica was a town beach. An only ten minute walk from the city centre of Ljubljana brings you to a renovated Ljubljanica river embankment landscaped as a park. The park's name, Špica, translates as 'pointed tip' and refers to the embankment's pointed shape. Due to its pleasant green surroundings and a large area paved with wood, it still attracts numerous residents and visitors wanting to bask in the sun on fine weather days. There's a caffe bar and a kids playground nearby, so parents - go there!

The dragon is a symbol of Ljubljana, which has been proudly reigning in the city coat of arms since the late Middle Ages. There is a legend that Jason was the founder of Ljubljana, and he and his Argonauts killed a dragon. Some local people have nicknamed this structure "mother-in-law" because of its fiery nature ;)
