Food Scene

Nicely renovated country store with a small coffee cafe, food essentials and organic vegetables in nearby Adamsville, home of the Rhode Island Red Rooster. My favorite is the Caliente Burrito & coffee for breakfast. The staff are always friendly and cheerful. There are little people chairs, table and toys for those with young children. This is where to buy your daily newspaper and coffee. 1-½ miles from the BnB. (401)-635-2420. http://www.simmonscafemarket.com

See the "gingerbread cottages" of the former Methodist Summer Camp and eat and have a drink along the waterfront. Then go for a two hour tour with DeeDee Borza (www.homegrowntoursmvi.com) of the rest of the island, stopping in Aquinnah to view the cliffs and back through Edgartown to Oak Bluffs.
