Awesome homestyle place that serves SO MUCH FOOD for the price. A main course (generous helpings you choose from 8-10 crock pots of home cooking) can easily feed two people.

The best way to describe this upscale Scandinavian restaurant is "Comfort Food meets Tribal Modernism." For the culinary adventurous...Also, my friend Steffan works the bar on most Thursdays.

Awesome fun "south of the border" joint. Gets busy so go early to beat the crowd. No matter what you do make sure you get an order of guacamole and a side of crack sauce for your main dish.

Drinks & Nightlife

Best bar in Williamsburg (I am biased b/c I work here) - classic cocktails with a modern twist, plus oysters and small plates galore. If you go on a date or want to impress your boss, take them here.

Not the nearest grocery store - there is a Food Town on N 3rd between Bedford and Driggs. For some reason I can't add Food Town to this list. So just go to Food Town if you're coming from the L train.

Closest big supermarket. In the heart of Hassid land (closed on Saturdays) so it can be a bit of a culture shock, but fun if you are feeling adventurous (and need to pick up some cheap groceries).

This is a great place to print something out or use the internet, as well as send packages and get simple office supplies. Cheaper than internet garage and less annoyingly boutique-y.
