It looks like a dump, and it is, but the food is fabulous. Guy Fierre did a DDD episode on this place. It's right across the street from Channel 10 on Broadway and it's usually packed.

One of the first bars to open when Old Sacramento was first established, it's still one of the best. The hamburgers are great. Watch out which bathroom you go into. You'll know what I mean when you get there, but that comment has nothing to do with current politics.

The iconic Joe Marty's has reopened ten years after the fire. It's nothing like the old dive that Joe Marty of The Sacramento Solon's opened in '38. It's now a nice upscale sports bar with pretty good food. They just need to bring back Joe Marty's broasted chicken and I'll be happy.
