Check the location. Most of these are "local" Lee's Summit but Kansas City is one big town, so we added in some extra adventures and musts.
So freaking cool! For $10 per pet you can eat, drink and be merry at this dog park. Dogs are attended by professional dog trainers to while you enjoy out door music/food and night life, or cozy indoor dinning.

This place has a lake!! So much awesomeness here I don't know if I should start with the lake or all the local shops at the entrance. I think it is 7-10 acres of land. 1ish mile in there's a beach for the puppers (lawn chairs are the best to just watch the fun). Have kids? Bring the floaties and go at it!

I was spoiled on some fire dog parks in San Antonio so it feels rare to find a dog park with trees, but this place has them (and dead bodies as legend has it). Fun spot to see...once-ish....during the day.

Right by the house! Need to kill time, take the 3 minute drive, its worth seeing. There are hoards of fish that swarm the marina that kids/adults like to see.

The CUTEST artisan country coffee eatery. 15 minute drive from our house and so good for the soul (and country feel/space for kids). If you live in a popular area normally and you have leisure time, this is an absolute pleasure to experience.

I have no logical reason to convince you to drive 15ish minutes away to get to this coffee shop. But craft coffee lovers don't need logic, just the love of adventure and wonder what you might find. Except this place is 2 minutes from Kansas City Market. So I guess that is an excellent reason to get you here!

I get the Saigon which is a "traditional iced Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk". Weird to ask for but the stuff of legends. And my husband likes to main stream his caffeine so he gets the "Electric" which is espresso, oat milk, spices and condensed milk.

French bakery/coffee shop in Overland Park. Closest to France (I pretend) I have ever been. It has a unique service area for the pastries.
I swoon over their Mocha Sponge Cake (?) thing, Warm Curry Cakes, Tiramisu (Whole cake or by the slice), fresh baked Macarons (pronounced Ma-Ca-Rons) and Thai Boba Team.
If you are going to Overland Park for any reason stop for coffee/brunch here and stop back by the area of lunch at Cafe Vie at the corner of this building.
