Sightseeing

Nice spacious place to see the amazing Tower of London while also being close to the river. I’d highly recommend a boat trip down the river from the pier at Tower Hill, either eastwards down to Greenwich and Woolwich, or westward towards Chelsea, Chiswick and Barnes. I’d recommend a boat tour which has a sightseeing tour guide talking on the deck, rather than an Uber boat trip. A nice option is to get out at Greenwich and wonder around there. There’s an amazing view of London from the top of the hill in Greenwich, and also a brilliant place to stop for an ice cream or coffee.

This is a really impressive building. The sheer size and magnitude of it still amazes me no matter how many times I cycle pass it through the city. It’s a nice one to wonder round it or even go inside a take a tour.

This is a lovely part of Hyde Park. You get a great view of the Serpentine and there is excellent bird life nearby. It’s a nice park to relax, meet people and have some drinks . There are also some historic sculptures and buildings dotted around in Kensington gardens.

If you like art, this one’s definitely worth a visit. You can spend as much as you like in here, there’s so much to see. I reckon on weekends it’s likely to be packed so might be a good mon-fri option. There’s a lot of learn on history of art within this building.

Food scene

The famous food market is here so if you’re hungry, its definitely worth a visit. It’s conveniently close to the river so you could walk along the river side to arrive here, or walk along towards southbank if you’ve refuelled.
