If you are with kids, check out The Lot behind Tomatoes in margate. Food trucks, lots of kids if you go early around 5/6 PM. For adults the restaurant at Tomatoes is great but it can be VERY busy in the summer

Longport beaches are the least busy on the island. If you want to get away from the crowds, head all the way down Atlantic Ave and check out the point. Park around 12th Ave and walk down to the jetty and beach there to see the inlet. Super peaceful.
