Bears?? Be smart. They will pick up food scents.

Black bears in Tennessee eat just about anything, from berries and nuts from the trees to salamanders and insects. The main reason a black bear in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge would find their way to your cabin is if they smell food. Here are a few tips on how to keep them away: 1. no food left in cars! very important. they have ripped off car roofs 2. no food or trash left outside unless it is in a bear cage outside. 3. Do not call bears or try to feed them. Especially babies with the mother nearby.
