Up above, the Medieval village awaits with its numerous monuments, cobbled streets, arcaded houses, old buildings and Medieval castle. Wander around at your leisure, exploring the streets with their long and eventful history; and look up and gaze at the traditional Provençal, village houses. In the Middle Ages, Grimaud’s wealth and importance meant that is was the capital of Freinet, an area that today corresponds to the Gulf of Saint-Tropez region. By preserving this identity, the village has, today, earned a listing on the register of Historic Monuments.

St Tropez awaits. Its famous port with exotic yachts, celebrities, nightlife, clubs, bistros, cafes, artists, Tuesday and Saturday Markets at St Tropez are all just a short drive away. (14.7kms) Drive from La Croix Valmer via the D559 alternatively, take the D93 tourist route and you will pass the famous Pampelonne beach with it's beach restaurants like Club 55 where you can sometimes rub shoulders with film stars, footballers and celebrities

Ideally located within a few minutes of the beaches and easy walking distance to the village, shops, bars, supermarket, restaurants, banks etc. La Croix Valmer has seven sandy beaches, some with beach restaurants. There is a small sandy cove a few minutes from the villa which mainly serves just the properties in the immediate area and is not generally used by tourists. The larger beaches known as Gigaro Plage and Debarquement Plage are sandy beaches safe bathing protected by lifeguards. It is very easy to join the Littoral (coastal path)with access just a few hundred metres from the villa where you can walk to beaches in either direction. The views along the coastal path are spectacular.

Cavalaire and Ste Maxime are both coastal towns within easy driving distance (17kms and 4.8kms) which also have own style and the attractions of their ports, marinas and casinos.
