Mile End is a little more hipster, it is technically bound by Mount Royal, St-Laurent, Parc and Van Horne. Just walk up St-Laurent and it starts getting good from Villeneuve and up.

Super hip Japanese whiskey bar just down the street. You have to look carefully for the door, it's a little hidden right next to Patati Patata, in front of the bus stop. Sometimes you have to wait a little. The atmosphere is dark and mysterious, really great for a date night.
