Neighborhoods

Welcome to our Dash Point Neighborhood. The views change as the tides go in and out. At low tide, you can walk south to the Lighthouse Park and Browns Point. You can walk north to the Dash Point State Park, famous for the long sandy beach and skimboarding. Dash Point State Park also has beautiful trails to walk and you can even mountain bike on the upper trails. You can drive here by 509 to the main park entrance (just a mile north of Skylark.) Discovery Pass required, which you can buy there. Or you can enter up the hill from Norpoint Way where it is quieter and there is free street parking.

The Point Ruston waterfront is a fun one stop spot for restaurants, shops, a public market and perhaps most importantly, access to a long esplanade that stretches from The Point Defiance Park and the ferry landing all along the water to Old Town, Tacoma. Walk scooter or rent bikes or surreys from Wheel Fun Rentals. In the summer there is a spray park and in the winter it becomes an ice rink.
